He acknowledge's scent like a cat would. the fact that kuro got into a hurt by hearing a mating call, which yeah they stay that way for a bit. not sure how he is or was a cat, but I am pretty sure we can say he was a cat with all the hints. Then again. it isn't said so we still could be wrong.
the latest chapter is cute and sad. I can imagine this is why there are rarely any interspieces love. However this also feels like their flirting the whole time. They don't hate each other. And as much as we and they want to be together it may never be. let us weep upon the pyre for this love.
