Totally relatable. When one has speech problems they do not feel confident. I know there are more speech problems than stuttering, stuttering is just easiest to write since it's more consistent. Like I have a lisp, random voice change, volume control issues, random accent switches, and unable to say a word or two each day even if the day previous I could say it fine. This are hard to write about. But I use to be as scared as him with my talking. And even now I get upset, but I guess it depends on whose around. Cause for me I laugh at it too since it sounds weird. Wish our lead had a support group to help. Maybe his crush will become his support group. And ya know, he shouldn't be surprised that he made a friend. I have made friends because of my speech impediments. Not sure why, but people around me now a days find my speech problems cute.

ya know this amuses me. it treats being mates as a wedding. I can see why. But I am pretty sure even without the bite people still considered them mates. Like we consider our friends who have been dating someone for years to be married to that person. But I do like how they talk about the being mates thing as a marriage.
