the story's okay, it's not anything to write home about
but I can't help but laugh at how it's another BL where PTSD and STDs don't exist
Considering the time period it's likely that there weren't any STIs to spread. What we consider the most pertinant STIs in the modern day (Gono, syph, hiv) did not spread to east Asia until around the 16th century(1500s) with HIV obviously not spreading until the 70s and 80s now, genital warts and herpes would have existed, but those weren't actually considered STIs until the modern era, as they don't kill you and don't really affect the overall health of a person.
I stopped reading at ch92 and by these comments I ain't picking it back up again
the og couple was iffy enough but not terrible by BL standards
the side couple was just rape-to-love and I hate both of them
and this is just pure bullshit
idk why the author decided to plumb the depths of bad storytelling as the story went on but go off ig...
*rubs temples* ngl I might drop this at this point
they didn't break up after a month+ of iksu being cold and distant and sunbae **knowing** that iksu doesn't like him. they didn't break up after iksu screamed in his face after the attempted kiss.
if the bf (sunbae) gets mad about this then he's fucking stupid bc clearly what he just walked in on was his bf (iksu) getting mad about the childhood best friend, who he (sunbae) told iksu to stop seeing which iksu agreed to and did it, getting mad bc the best friend kissed him. that sounds like an entirely reasonable response. Sure, iksu didn't tell sunbae it happened but if it was forced/not wanted (which it clearly was) and iksu is visibly getting mad (calling him a piece of shit and a motherfucker) then that's as appropriate an interaction as it can be given the situation. If I found out my SO had had a kiss forced on them by someone they already were not in contact with I'd be mad at the person but not my SO cuz it's not like it's their fault.
if **this** is the catalyst for them breaking up it's going to be so stupid, but ig that would be in line with how stupid their relationship was to begin with
honestly I hate iksu and sunbae, they deserve each other. Dohun, just let them go and find yourself a boyfriend who appreciates you. (tho don't get me wrong forcing a kiss on someone is a dick move but by BL standards that's a negligible offense)
re-re-re-reading lol
this is such a masterpiece
it's so realistic in a way that really gives it heart and soul, it's maturely written. the way they misunderstand each other at first, it's not the kind of stupid misunderstand you see in a lot of these comics, it's something that happens when you're first getting to know someone you're really interested in, clashes in personality do happen, and you have to learn how to navigate that and that's exactly what they do
even the office politics part, it's detailed yes but the fact that it's detailed makes it immersive. I like that Seunghyun didn't make it in at first, and that it wasn't conveniently solved, that Jongchan might be someone in a high position but he got there with hard work and he's not a CEO or a chaebol so he can't just pull some strings and fix it all immediately
and good lord the spice

this is like junk food
I know it's bad for me but I keep eating
