In any case, BL is still mostly written by women and they have their target audience who buys their works...the thing is though, we DO have mangas that have transgender main characters that uses crossdressing as escapism, it just ain't simple BL anymore. You'd have to leave the BL tag to actually find it.
Though it isn't like there's a lot of em out there, the thing is though, the authors who write those stories ACTUALLY knows how to write transgender stories and their experiences. Aka research or personal experience. Majority of the BL writers in the manga, manwha and manhua scene do NOT have that sort of personal relation to that type of genre. Let's be real here. Only a minority is really aware of the lgbt stuff.

Okay I know everyone is like “are they stupid?? They clearly love each other why don’t they just confess?” But tbh I think this is more realistic. From my experience, the harder you fall for someone and closer you get to it being a relationship, the more scared you get about putting it all on the line and saying how you feel. It can be hard to believe all signs pointing to it being mutual when you are paranoid about misreading things and messing up what you have. I hope when they do get together it goes really smoothly and with not too much drama. Just wanna see them happy
