Okay so I get why people have an issue with the lack of verbal consent, but why just now? Wolfgang and Shin’s sexual relationship has been like this ever since they got together. I think cnc is a tricky area in fiction, but my understanding has always been that Shin and Wolfgang both wanted this type of relationship. Shin doesn’t express his feelings well through words and a big part of their dynamic is Wolfgang challenging Shin and pushing his limits to get him to enjoy things and try things differently. They also grew up together and Wolfgang had always seemed to be able to pick up on when something is bothering Shin. I honestly don’t see this as super different and I think if Shin was actually uncomfortable or unhappy then Wolfgang would know.

Okay I know everyone is like “are they stupid?? They clearly love each other why don’t they just confess?” But tbh I think this is more realistic. From my experience, the harder you fall for someone and closer you get to it being a relationship, the more scared you get about putting it all on the line and saying how you feel. It can be hard to believe all signs pointing to it being mutual when you are paranoid about misreading things and messing up what you have.
