If you love a man with walls so high you’d need Batman-grade grappling hook to scale them, then this story is for you. Luckily for us, Yoonshin said ‘Alexa play ‘Wrecking Ball’ and did his best Miley impression and got under Mr. Kang’s skin. Having said that— this is a story that takes patience, its a slow burn but artist and writer did a good job with the character designs (they’re sooo pretty) and build up of sexual tension that when they do finally kiss, it’s honestly more satisfying than a lot BLs that have the mains cavorting like rabbits from page one.

It’s refreshing that these two talk to each other like your average dudebro but their emotional bandwidth is narrower than a g-string. The smut is meh, and the stealthing is a red flag, not to mention the ‘while you were sleeping’ bit. If I hadn’t seen their totally adorable [redacted] I’d have probably dropped this already.

Just finished reading ch. 29ish— gonna be that person and say— getting permission for future all-out sex (to cash in his vcard no less) while said person is in the throes of pleasure is not proper consent. The same way you don’t take it seriously if they say ‘I love you’ for the first time pre, post or mid coitus. Or the same way you don’t ask for consent when a person is high or drunk.

Boooo. If the author is going to take the time to detail all the sexual sadism MC went through (like ten plus panels is glorifying that shit) the least he could do is detail the abuser getting his teeth getting kicked in by ML so the audience gets some catharsis. But no suddenly author is squeamish.

The first couple/ season is lovely but Daeshik is straight up one of my favorite MC's-- he starts off as a quirky side char. who dives all-in to lgbtq+ allyship while stripping down to rainbow undies after being called out. But it's that same energy of relentless curiosity/ empathy/ intelligence that make his own sexual awakening and slow burn with Yosef so good. And Yosef... I don't blame him for throwing himself at that hunk like a piece of cooked pasta hoping he'll stick.
Also I'm very impressed with how they handled trigger warning (adding a summary after the chapter in case you skipped, also it was drawn withoutgl glorifying said abuse). My only quibble is Sohae, how her 'redemption' wasn't as smoothly done as the others especially since she veered into stalker / outing territory in the first season and suddenly it was rainbows and daisies.

Came over from Guiding Hazard which has the same artist (but different author.) This one has potential I think, it has decent world building, but it's a bit too disjointed for me pacing-wise. Had to drop cuz a lot of the smut of the central couple is dubcon (sure mc likes ml but that’s no reason for ml to poke him with his teeth / genitalia whenever he (ml) feels like it.) And MC is just... so grateful for such terrible treatment, it's sickening.

it’s crazy that this one’s almost a decade old. bls from this time were almost all written this way and i’m glad the authors writing changed over the years. it was good when i first read it but now i gotta say the dynamic is just no fun. i prefer less submissive or shy mcs bc it all feels very icky when there’s a weird power dynamic

…should be the title of this story. The first season is all dub/non con smut. ML treats MC like trash from start to finish except for the sliver of time in college when they were just friends. When they meet again, ML blackmails him and isolates him from his friends/ job— using their kid as leverage. ML obfuscates the truth and no amount of mind blowing sex (jury is out on this one, MC never looks like he’s enjoying it) and retconning by their mutual friends is enough to redeem him. I don’t blame the MC for falling apart every four chapters, you would too if someone was fucking with your head for nearly a decade.
He really said ‘btw I’m gay’ with his whole chest like it was the biggest twist ever.
