For a Child rearing BL— the backstories are messed up. The waaay older ex husband who omega met as a child living in the same house, and the ‘Omega Room’ which is double SA (alpha can’t consent under influence of pheremones, alpha SA’s omegas). And everything is swept under the rug in the end. Also the relationship and child-raising aspect is fluffy or romantic enough to make up for all that crap.

If u like emotionally constipated males and passive FLs, this story is for you. It has so much potential and the first chapter is a red herring btw, it’s actually pretty dark. Was this a novel? Because it feels like the source material was dense but whoever adapted it couldn’t make it cohesive. I like the curse, the conspiracy and her relationship with the children but everything else falls kinda flat. The leads are good looking but have no romantic tension because he avoids her for 100 chapters (the only gestures of romance is he shows up for social events and threatens/kills people who bother her.) Oh and it ends on a cliffhanger and author is on hiatus.

Yes, the story is inspired by the novel (although i did read that a lot of people prefer the manwha over the novel plot and story wise) - I personally think it's sth very different from the usual isekais, romance tropes etc, it has a strong fl and the romance being more on the sidelines instead of the main plot point/slow burn is sth i really came to enjoy - and idk it seems like u didnt really try to understand the ml thoughts and actions regarding the fl esp considering the blood curse - i hope u give the story another chance tho and i liked reading ur synopsis

I read the whole ass thing hoping it got better so I DID give it a chance. I think the elements are all there for a great story-- the blood curse, a family that needs love, sorcery, revenge and overcoming trauma. But like, FL doesn't even triumph over her murderous family in a satisfying way-- it was all Duke ex machina. He saves her from her ex, his people investigate her step-mom for her dad's murder. She doesn't even confront her step-sister. A lot of stuff happens to FL but it always feels like a plot device to force her and Duke to interact, the only time she does anything interesting is advocating for the children, but the story puts them on the back burner.

Several translation groups are all racing to upload to this story, so the quality is terrible. Names/ fonts /story details change, and grammar is spotty at best. I checked out one of their websites and they're charging for 'preview chapters'. I wouldn't even mind them tryna make a buck but they don't even take pride in their work, half a chapter is missing (transition between 35/36) and Raws seems sourced from different languages (and/or stolen with obvious watermarks).
One of the few titles I've seen where SA/ Abuse is covered properly (ie not gratuitous or glamorized) but also contributes to the plot/ theme of the story which explores what love could be in fraught power dynamics like a dom/subverse and how easily that veers into abuse/powerlessness. But also ML is so gloriously hot and actually emotionally mature-- there weren't enough love scenes IMHO.
