If anybody is mad at her, y'all must not understand her situation. She is to be married off to ANYONE who's more beneficial and chosen by her father. Just remember she's what 15 ? 17 ? Not even a full grown adult, but she has to be married off like a piece of property and she does not complain for the sake of her family. Yeah it might be fucked up the way she said he's the best partner, but that's what she has been told ALL HER LIFE to find the best partner available. Plus she had to leave behind the life that she loved for the sake of her family not for her own. She wasn't allowed to go out for 4 or 5 years because her husband said so and when she was finally able too she was ridiculed for not being a good mother. I agree with you just the one fact I think is kind of wrong is the fact that her father isn't trying to use her. More like he wants her to go to the best family possible a) so she won't get mistreated and also make it so her siblings also live good lives. Why it is critical for her to marry before her father dies. Is because that generally makes things harder for women to marry. He is the lord of the house and the main source of income. The wife needs to present a dowery which is provided by the family. So many factors weighed in when he was making this decision. He isn't that bad a father.

I didn't say he was a bad father , I meant every woman at that time cannot be married off unless they get the approval of their father (which most fathers took advantage of, but hers didn't). Thank you it just got me heated that some people would get mad at her, like imagine right most coming of age for women is 15. So she's married at 15ish maybe like months later, but yeah then she has to bear a heir at 16/17 so she's a child rasing a child. Plus she has to shoulder the responsibilities as the daughter because although her dad didn't tell her marry this guy marry that guy that pressure is still there. The other guy himself told her I'm your best choice so imagine if one guy told her that how long she has been hearing that for, not just from men but from women as well. PLUS women get post martum depression and at that time there is no medication no diagnosis you get what I'm saying? It's probably what she had, but she just didn't understand nor had the support to overcome it.
