Some people claim he hides his ring because he is married to a celebrity. But is it so hard to tell others that he doesnt want to tell who he is married to?
Or is it that in Asia culture strangers harass you to know everything about your life?
Not everything has be dramatic.
Yea but the thing is that in asian culture it is a BIG deal. If you walk with a ring (in places like school, work etc. because I'm assuming you are not talking about some randoms on the street) and some randoms ask you who you're married to you can't just say you don't want to tell them or talk about it. It's not that they will judge you, fire you or smth because of your partner/or orientation but just because you are in a relationship. It is stupid but they have a very different mentality there.
It feels like the MCs are always restrained by the culture (such as doing what others ask) but the rest of the world acts so freely.
Like when they get invited to group dates. MCs feels like they have to say yes. But if MC asks help from.others for something, everyone says no and the MC dont want to pressure them.
Its always like that. Like .. i understand the author exagerate it to make more drama, but its so stupid to make only the MCs be punching bags, because of culture, and then make everyone else pushy jerks, because of culture.
To those complaining about the early updates :
You are right, it's not a good thing and it has to.stop. BUT it doesn't mean the uploader knows that. They probably dont realize its better to wait and they just want to.share. It's a good thing to warn them, but no need to be aggressive towards someome who is trying to do something good.
I don't know, maybe I am naive but I don't think the author feels any better if illegal sites wait or not. They don't want their stories here.
I understand the outrage but at the same time it looks like: 'we are stealing but we are not stealing it in the same day'. I doubt the author feels any better that the work gets uploaded a week after.
I don't know but I think the outrage over stealing the work now or later is a bit pointless. Either you support the author -- and they are very clear they do not want their work here or don't do it half way ( thinking that you are doing less harm by waiting a week).
I don't know but just my impression, that pretending that stealing one week later in any way more 'moral'. It is not. I agree that it may be less shameless but that is another point.
I am pretty sure, really really confident that if went to ask the author this question you would be greeted with the biggest put down you ever heard. The point is that the author 'prefer' that it doesn't get uploaded in here. Period. I understand that people want to 'feel' like they are doing a courtesy so they feel less shitty mooching a work they should be paying for but this is really more for YOURS, OURS benefit, so we pat ourselves in the back saying we are mindful of the author's.
A courtesy means that you are doing something good or appreciative towards someone and if it is really a courtesy, the person would thank you for. The biggest reality check on this is easy to do: go to the author if you dare and really ask the question you just posted to me. It's actually quite offensive to the author that moochers think they are deserving of consideration because they 'let her' make a bit of money before they steal their work.
Listen people, I am a moocher too but there is no honor among thieves like you are all trying to imply. Just like people keeps saying that they can't afford to pay and that's why they read the work in illegal sites. That in no way mitigate the mooching. Neither the 'courtesy' of waiting days. Even more because the gross, majority of people reading manage is literally used to wait months for illegal works ... the myth that a large number of people will run and buy it is not true. One or two cases do not make for the majority that just waits like they wait for every other story they won't be paying for because they know that eventually they will get it illegally.
I get it the 'feel good' or 'trying not to feel too guilty' feeling we are all trying to put on here but this is not even a hard question to answer: what do you really think the author would tell you if you asked her what she prefer between stealing her work on the same day or if you give her the 'courtesy' of a delay? She would probably be even more offended that you are the one deciding on letting her make some money for some days as courtesy or charity... because we are moocher but we are decent like that, right?
I think it does make a difference though. There are many mangas that aren't free but if you wait, the chapters slowly becomes free until.the whole thing is free. They do that on Tapas for example.
Also on Webtoon, if you pay, you can see from.1 to 3 episode ahead. And a lot of people do pay, even though they can wait and get it for free on the official site.
So yeah, the wait does help. It doesn't change the fact we are reading this on an illegal site, but it is a way of doing things that lessen the damage.
Yes, there is definitely a bigger picture in here but it's not me who is missing it.
I'm sorry but again, your whole attitude of patting yourself in the back for common decency for letting the author make a 'lot of money' in a week when she will lose a lot more indefinitely every time a reader finds her work in here at any time is beyond pale.
The funny think is that while you double down on the defense that what you are doing is common decency and even a 'favor' to the author you are admitting this is about you -- your need to give yourself some credit and not at all about the worry with the author.
Look at what you are saying. You are literally saying that you or the 'common decency' of mooches is the decider of how long or how enough money the author can make out of their work. Yes, I'm sure the author can't deny how much money she made in a week, how lucky for her that moochers like you give her this allowance.
Do you know what is common decency? Not upload it in here and not read it. More decency? not patronize the site. We are not decent, not you who waits a week and puts the line where the author made enough money neither anyone else.
Let's stop being hypocrites. Even more offensive when we give ourselves the role of decent people who let the author eat for a week before we stole her food. That's all I am saying. Even if it took a year for her work to be uploaded, it is still a loss because a work doesn't get a life spam. New readers will come and they will find her work for free.
This whole argument would be much more honest if we admitted and framed the whole outrage solely on the point it brings more attention to mangago and we all may lose our trash bin of food. That's it. That's the hook for waiting. Not because we are decent to give an week allowance for the author on her own work. Let's not be hypocrites.
Anyway, I doubt you can see any other picture than the one you painted yourself in as the 'common decency' one so please go get outraged some more and defend the author's right to make money for a week. Then pat yourself on the back some more. You are doing great!
I can understand being busy (for a short time) because of work. Like its 100% ok as long as its too long or too often.
But this time, he decided that getting drunk was more important than his long awaited date. Thats the same as saying : sorry you are too low in my.priority. (and honestly, its not a bad thing, some couples probably dont spend.much time.together and they like.it that way). But the uke isn't like that and honestly, its like his feelings are being laughed at. (When you give so much priority to someone and you dont get much in response, it can feel pretty insulting)
So...the MC is willing to sacrifice himself for the little guy, but he cant even tell him that those people are dangerous.....
"why bother to protect this guy" so if u knew someone that potentially could get raped or be abused you'd just stay idle and do nothing??
he knows how that red haired asshole works, he knows how shitty of a person he is + that other guy idc about their names.
also,, ur forgetting that the red hair has a lot of power and can easily just get rid of the rumors if suha was to tell the other secretary. power is definitely at play.
obvsly i want suha and the other guy to be safe and for the secretary to know just how shitty his boss actually is BUT suha had a very traumatic experience (from getting forced to give a bj aka rape and his past with them both) and sometimes people who go through that abuse cant just easily talk about it.
okay look at it this way, if you know the person is with a crazy people that can rape him at any moment. yeas ANY moment and yet he does not WARN him from the danger he is in or let him know anything about it.
so what he did is mostly pointless, he can get abuse and get rape at other times he does not know about, so what he did for him was in the end of the day pointless if he is not going to be honest and warn his friend from it. then let the friend decide what he wants to do with it, if the friend decide to stay with a fuck up crazy dude and ignore his warning then it is his fault.
he is a grown-up man, not a baby! he has logic to protect himself, he DOES NOT need protection like a child. Suha been an idiot here and hypocrite cause it make him feel good to think he will save other people instead of treating him like a grown-up adult and be honest with him with the danger.
if Suha has such a big traumatic experience, then more reason for him to warn and be honest with the other about his boss.
If i knew someone was about to get raped , I would risk my own safety ONLY if that person is close enough to me. But if the dude wouldn't even trust me if i told him that x person is a dangerous abuser. How come are they close enough for Suha to sacrifice himself?
Also its nothing about rumors. Its just giving a warnimg to one person.
For example, if my best friend is going out with a man that abused me before, i could tell her that this guy is an abuser and that i heard it from a trustworthy person. (I dont have to say its me)
In this situation, he could just tell his friend that he knows that these guys picks up drunk.men to their house for xxx stuff so he better take care of himself around them.
If the guy still go carefree after that, its his problem for being so stupid. (Why even get drunk with coworkers, that is quite a bad idea, especially if there are higher ups)
No I'm not saying he doesn't trust suha. He looks up to him like a hyung though they haven't known each other long...but he has been red's secretary for a while so his positive impression of that guy is pretty deeply embedded, he wouldn't be suspicious of suha or his motives for telling him to be cautious but he would likely dismiss the warning. Or worse he could tell red what suha said in passing or ask him about his relationship with suha....that would open a whole new bag of worms. Then there is the question of does red treat everyone like he treated suha? Maybe the cinroll secretary isn't his type.
Either way, suha went to fetch him with good intentions but idt suha is in a position politically to go out on a limb and warn that kid.
It is true that Suha was gonna ignore the text at first but then he went to fetch the kid. Suha was cautious about red but he didn't bring backup bc he didn't think red would abuse him....he was surprised to see the sadist seme there too though. Up to that point Suha didn't think he'd be sacrificing himself for anyone. So on Suha's end, he cared just enuf for the kid to get him out of there even tho they were not THAT close.
My second comment wasn't focusing on how Suha felt about the kid tho...it was focused on how he thought the kid would take the info if he did warn him. It is not that the kid would mistrust Suha it's just that he prob would not take such a warning to heart.
Idt the kid would maliciously tell red about the warning if he got one but he might let it slip jokingly or whatnot.
So I ask again...Do u think the young secretary would believe suha when his impression is that those two nut jobs are nice? Or should I rephrase and ask, how close do you think the young secretary feels towards Suha?
And even if a random person told you one of your male coworker is a dangerous abusive dude. Even if you thought he was very nice and all, but not close to him. The natural behavior is you would take caution around him. And you wouldnt let it slip.
Now if you were close to him, thats another story, but even if you dont know if its true, most people would not want to take the.risk.and just be cautious in case.
That works in theory but not always in practice.Like this:
I've told a friend to watch out for this guy or that guy bc I'm a better judge of character and she's more easy going. She trusts me and my advice but she still makes her own choices.
Let's say she makes it work with one of these guys I warned her about and she wants to introduce him to friends...she might give him a heads up about what I said so he can make an effort at making a goid impression. (Sorry this is the closest scenario I could make up).
We all know suha lives in a culture that does not approve of homosexuals right? Given that Suha would not want to admit he had a sexual relationship with red or the other jerk--whether consensual or rape he would not likely spill all the tea...he'd have to give a more vague, round about word of caution and again, that type of advice is easily dismissed.
Suha does not have to admit he is homosexual to warn someone ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ he can warn him in 100 different ways and it will be enough without giving any details about his personal life.
he just needs to warn him his boss is a crazy son of bitch that abuse person and rape them, that's it. how he knows it does not matter to the friend of his, what the friend will do with this info is totally up to him and yet Suha that "save" him and play the hero didn't warn him at all ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ which make all his actions have hypocrite idiot that jump into his ex arms if only giving the excuse to do it. which I really dislike about him.
My close friends, who i would put myself in danger to save. If i warn them.about someone, i would not even considser they would tell it to the other person. If that was a possibility, we wouldnt be close friends and i wouldnt take a risk.for them.
So we are going back to the first case. Why did he even go into a dangerous situation for someone that is really not important :/ . Well i guess all ukes have this tendency to always ignore danger and thinks everything is safe
Lee Yeonwoo (the seme or the side couple if you prefer). Nothing was explained about his actions??? Its like the authors was teasing us to make him.look.like an antagonists but turns out he isn't and zero explanation for his actions.
1. He claimed he was interested in both Lucia and Easen, but in the end, he really didnt give a shit about Easen, he only cared about Lucia to make her a GM. Also why did he care about their relationship and faking to be interested in Lucia??? That was completely irrelevant..
2. Asking Lucia to.meet in real life...without context.....thats like asking to look creepy wtf
3. When he gave the doll to the MC at the cinema. Just what the fuck was that??? Giving a doll to an male adult that is a complete strange.
4. And then he disguised as a mascot forced a hug on the MC....
Also why did he end up taking the same flights as the MC?? The MC changed his flight so even if they planned it at first, its weird they ended up on the same flight. And why did he come back at the same time??? The guy took.a JOB in america and the MC took.a program. They should not even see each other much.
If anyone actually understood something that could explain, please do. Because right now, im very disappointed by all these plotholes mainly used to make it look like he was going to do something.
So far it looks like Yeonwoo knew that the MC was Lucia right from.the beginning. And that he was romantically interested. Gave him a doll and forced a hug because he is the cliché creepy in love. Offered the job to get closer. And then invited the MC to america to destroy his couple (from the beginning he gave off the feeling he wanted to test their relationship).
All this makes sense, but then the author throw at us : but he actually likes someone else.
Help.me understand this please
the reason why yeonwoo acted that way because in yeonwoo's eyes , jaehyun helped out a lot by giving clear and interesting feedbacks on the game that yeonwoo and mr. kwon , his long time crush, worked hard for. Therefore , to yeonwoo , the game meant a lot to him. i guess , these are just my theories
I dont see how that explains why he acted so weirdly. He didnt know the MC was Lucia when he gave the plushie or when he hugged him. And this isnt something you do to strangers.......
Also.in the game, the way he was trying to know about Lucia's relationship and asking to.meet in real life. The author made himdo really suspicious stuff as if he was meant to be an antagonist/love rival, but in the end it wasnt the case and all his behaviors are unexplained.
i think the author did this so they could make into a "plot twist". idk i was also very confused at first but judging how they (the author and illustrator) even aknowlegded that they made some continuity mistakes maybe they were aiming for a rival first but then decided it wouldn't be relevant? idk really, it did have a few plot holes
The author giving a sad backstory to the guy is really annoying. You dont need a fucking sad backstory to justify your bad actions. Why are the authors so desperate to justify all the bad actions.
It would have been better if he just had a debt and took the easy way out or even better, he just wanted money for a more comfortable life.
Instead we got the usual cliché: he is just like that because his life was shit and it made him like that.
that's the author's call. it's not like they sprung it on us out of the blue. ever since the character was introduced, you could tell the dude was having it rough, and though he likes to engage in sex he'd rather not do it with mean, condescending assholes. that's why he called out the man for having a sucky penis bc the man was being cheap as hell, and sex service (& apparently espionage lol) is how he survives.
Actually no, nothing in the story was showing that he was having it tough. But it's really not the problem.
And my point is just that it's getting annoying that all authors are always trying to justify the main character's (that are usually antagonists) bad actions with a sad backstory.
I think it would look much better if the backstory was shown with the character's introduction (that way it would feel like we just got to know his life rather than the story being a tool to make him look okay) or just no backstory and give him.the mentality of -when you take something, someone else will starve. And i dont want to be the one starving-. Thats what he said and it was enough to explain how he came to do that job.
Hmm the author did drop a few hints to his past here and there. But you know, I also have criticism for this story (it doesn’t sit well with me either - this season went off the rails). I mention this because I feel like we are both looking at the same thing but with slightly different but ultimately quite similar perspective.
My biggest hang up with evil hen is that if Noah had such a tragic past why tf would the author show it to the reader like this - in three panels and as a joke?! like, knowing this chara is a victim of trafficking and is still subjected to abuse of high powered families is not funny to me at all.
so in essence for me, the trope doesn’t bother me, but the EXECUTION of it drives me up a wall (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Its been too long so im.confised :
Does Mochael like the MC and is in denial and so he mistreat the MC? Also does he really think the MC let that guy in?
Or is it just that life isn't going his way and he uses the MC as a punchingbag?
I think the same...... this waist of Oxygen should go to hell for this.
