Ryuh Han is creepy as heck. He likely knows that Hwa likes him, and although he won't date him he's ultra possessive. He's like one of those bratty kids who breaks their toys instead of sharing it. The whole "if I can't have it, no one can" mentality.
Thank you soooooo much for updating this. I had basically lost hope of ever getting an update. I'm so obsessed with this story.

I love Hoizumi, I love that he has Yamato even if their communication could use some work. I love that Yamato is doing his best to support Hoizumi, but...
This may be an unpopular opinion, but Hoizumi needs some professional help. He needs therapy. His dependence on Yamato is borderline unhealthy, and it breaks my heart. Their relationship isn't an issue, but his over-dependence is. My heart hurts every chapter I read because he has so much emotional trauma.
Neglect, abandonment, verbal degradation from his father, isolation... these can cause serious mental health issues when a kid grows up in that environment. I just want baby Hoizumi to be happy, but it's probably a fruitless wish to hope the author will treat mental illness seriously. Most likely everything will be healed with the power of love...as is usual in mangas.

Girl, preach. I ranted about this above your comment, and boy do Hozumi’s mental health issues get brushed over with sex and fluff. He obsessed over Yamato, and like he was literally sad-crying when having sex with his BF and they just resolve that in the most shitty way. Like boy, you do not resolve your problems by sexing your issues away

... I don't care about the outlandish plot or the weird omegaverse-esque secondary genders. My biggest issue with this manga is that it implies there is no consent in Dom/Sub relationships.
Like, BDSM is not about a dom ignoring all of a sub's boundaries, desires, etc. and doing what they want anyways. Proper bdsm has defined preferences, lots of pre-negotiation, safe words, consent, etc. I'm not going to sit here and rag on non-con in manga, that's not the point. The point is that this artist has twisted BDSM into something that implies the sub has absolutely no control over what is done to them. Ugh, idk. This could have been soooooooooo good, but instead it's just a rape-y perversion of BDSM.
I'm fully waiting for Jeha to fall in love with MR, but I still think he's trash. He suspects MR is lying, then he thinks MR is telling the truth, and his first action is to trick MR into having sex with him. Doesn't matter whether or not MR is faking it, what matters is Jeha thinks MR lost his memory and immediately takes advantage of him.
Don't get me wrong, I'm obsessed with this manhua, I can't wait for these two crazies to be in love with each other. Doesn't make Jeha any less trash right now though.
At this point the ML is your stereotypical abusive seme who’s just a bad person with no actual good qualities other than looks, will get redeemed with some pointless and useless backstory and it’ll be completely ignored simply because he’s drawn attractive and is a main character. If it’s to be believed the amnesia Mongryung has, he just raped him. Lying to someone to sleep with them while a person is mentally impaired and is making decisions based on that is sexual coercion and not fully rational consented sex= rape. he’s attempted to kill the MC multiples times, he’s sexually and physically assaulted the MC, he’d kidnapped and tortured him. Like the stupidity of them ending up together and seen as a romantic comedy could only happen in fiction with total suspension of disbelief and just not caring overall he’s a person.
But I think that fair cause he did “rApe” him first
Im not excusing that. But when you compare everything the ML has done you can’t even say it’s the same. Plus that rape was to be used as blackmail so he wouldn’t be kidnapped, tortured, and almost killed AGAIN. If I had some strange man trying kill me and my sister I’d do anything to get the upper hand to keep him away from me. The fact people keep using the MC’s blowjob rape as enough reason to excuse and redeem the seme is not only irrational it’s actually absurd. Try’s to kill me > I blew him to save my life.
I mean that’s fine if you’re not willing to go that far but I definitely wouldn’t fault someone thinking smart enough to save their own life no matter the cost. It’s definitely more forgivable than anything the seme has done in my book. But my personality values practicality so I can relate to the uke. At least the uke has a VERY rational reason. I can’t relate to some pretty rich boy who tries to kill and also rapes just because he can.
Honestly I have to agree with you Blueninja89. What MR did to Jeho was a crazy, and also desperate act to try and save his own life. I think we also need to acknowledge that MR is definitely not mentally stable. Something really horrible happened to him in the past that sent him to prison, and from the context clues, he seems to have been either framed, set up, or used as a scapegoat. Imagine being a high school kid who gets unfairly sent to prison? MR has a really fucked up mentality, BUT prior to his sister disappearing, he literally did nothing wrong to Jeha.
MR had nothing to do with his sister and the guy running away with a bunch of money. Yet some gangsters suddenly come after him, kidnap him, beat him, try to kill him, lather, rinse, repeat. In MR's messed up mind, he probably felt that blackmailing Jeho with the BJ was the best way to keep himself alive. Was it a moral thing to do for most people? No, but desperate people do desperate things. Also, we need to acknowledge a very different mindset between when MR gave the blowjob, and when Jeha raped MR thinking he lost his memory.
The major different here is that what MR did was not about pleasure in any way. He was not doing it to get himself off, he wasn't doing it to dominate or anything like that. Plain and simple, he was trying to get leverage to save his own life. That was all there was to it. On the other side, Jeha did what he did to be cruel. He resents MR, is annoyed by him, and in his mind he probably felt that taking advantage of MR's amnesia and raping him was a perfect way to take revenge. He got to get back at MR, prove his dominance over MR, and he also got pleasure from it. Both situations were rape, but the motivations behind them were vastly different and I do think that's an important distinction to make.
What MR did in no way compares to or excuses what Jeha has done. Jeha instigated the whole situation, has abused MR in so many ways, and has now fully raped him while believing he is injured and mentally impaired. If you ask me which act is more despicable, it's Jeha's actions all the way.
Thank you. The thing is I don’t hate this plot nor am I complaining about its characters as bad per say. I just can’t just shut up just enjoy it, because the author themself has struck a tone that is not cohesive enough for me to know when some “something is funny” and when something it actually serious to the plot. The dark themes and motivations for the character is never actually given room to showcase their reality, it’s all just meant to be one giant joke. So I understands why so my readers are so flippant about Jeha’s abusive actions and Mongryung response to them as he just takes them in stride. It doesn’t help that BL as a genre in general even in actual “serious” plots doesnt take abuse seriously in a way that relates to the plot itself other than as a just plot devise. It’s not good writing. You can make something a dark comedy but you can’t have a dark comedy where someone does what Jeha does and they’re sill later seen as the good guy. That doesn’t make sense. Make him the caricature villain if that’s what you want but be consistent not romanticize it later.
Oh for sure. I don't hate the plot, but I do agree that the flippant way all these abusive situations are handled makes it a little difficult to fully immerse myself in the story. My heart breaks for MR, but I want him to show some actual emotion! He's going through some awful things but the author keeps making everything that happens to him a joke. Regardless of his mentality, MR must be under extreme stress and yet he never shows anything. Maybe this will change later? Maybe he'll finally break down and show how much all this is effecting him? But with the way the author seems to be going, I'm not sure if we'll ever see MR show any real distress about what's happening to him.
And yeah Jeha just doesn't have much personality at all except Mr. Big Bad Super Cold Crazy Abusive Seme Who Abuses the Uke and Shows No Remorse At All But Will Ultimately and Bizarrely Fall in Love With Him. Literally, that's all there is to him. He has no other personality traits except being an abusive prick.
I don't know. A part of me loves and is obsessed with this story, and another part of me is having such a hard time getting into it because neither main character is showing any real emotion. Just jokes, abuse, more jokes, rape. When I first started reading it I expected more serious elements, but instead its been nothing but flippant handling of dark, abusive scenarios.
