Dang the art is beautiful and the world is interesting but why is the main character so annoying......I’m fine with airheads normally but this level is more stupidity and carelessness than anything else.
Hahaha so the first chapters r god damn awful in terms of how uncomfortable u get but as I read more and turned off my brain more, it actually got a lot better. I’m a sucker for the angsty jealous type story and the later arcs all deliver. That reporter arc in particular hit all the right notes and the Spain arc was pretty good as well. Thank god the uke stopped saying no all the time and came to admit he loved the seme.
It’s cute but this stray kid is getting on my nerves. He acts like he’s entitled to live in her house and that she should be grateful that he showed up to take care of her so he should obviously become her partner. He ruins her work and although I believe he did the right thing in helping her with the superior, he should have gone about it in a different way that wouldn’t had led to her being for sure fired because her “friend” beat up the superior. Damn I feel like I would like this more if it wasn’t a carbon copy of every Chinese BL modern light novel in manga form. Kind of disappointed that they went with the cliche of all cliches with the “beautiful boy starts his acting/idol career, is super talented and loved by teachers because no one else in the industry has manners, and ends up wooing the big boss.” Optional choices include “Being reincarnated into a different body after old self was already a successful actor/idol,” “black bellied MC and/or ML,” and “A child, most likely of the ML, that serves as a plot device and is such a textbook angel that it’s annoying.”

But in japanese or korean BL series it is the same. With time nearly all have a similar plot. In Japan it is either high school, Uni, Yakuza or work setting, with a lot of drama, because of the ex, jealousy, the opinion of others, tsundere characters etc. and on top a lot of rape like sex scenes. In korean webtoons it is nearlry the same + they often use the rich guy/ poor guy plot and a lot of the webtoons have so many and long sex scenes that it could be nealy counted as porn. Cliche develope fast, I mean at the start Omegaverse was new and the stories were original, but now 90% of these series follow the same plot. I think we have to accept the fact that the most series are turning out to be cliche, until someone will come up with something new.
I see your point. However, most Korean and Japanese manga, even with the same running themes, usually have some differences like tone or aspects of the story line. This manga could literally be the manga adaptation to around 5 separate light novels, all that follow that exact same story line and actor/idol plot line. I don’t read omega verse either for this very reason aside from a rare few. Well I’m guilty of reading all those light novels so I guess I shouldn’t be so irritated. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I get what you mean, but for me right now the only genre that can still surprise me are chinese BL novels with historical setting like MDZS, 2HA or TGCF. They managed to shock me and make me cry all the time. The novels are so evil, but I love them.
I need to know their mutual history before I make any firm conclusions on characters. My contextual evidence supported theories are that the seme is an ass and might be scum and the uke is in hard denial. My gut is telling me that this might be a huge misunderstanding involving alcohol with something along the lines of someone was drunk, they did it but uke doesn’t remember consenting, seme thinks that the person who opened a whole new world~ has rejected him and he either has imprinted in him or has too high pride to admit he hasn’t charmed him.
