No, I wouldn't. I love yaoi too much and has been reading BL for too long to stop. I don't want to stop and I know that I'll read yaoi all my life.
However, if it's not permanently, if it's just a temporary stoppage (for example, for a year) and well paid, I would say yes. But it would be very hard and frustrating for me. It would be awful to thin...... reply
I loathe shotacon the most. I can't read this kind of stories. I hate rapes too but, unfortunately, the majority of the relationships in BL start with a rape. So, now, I try to not focus on the rapes to concentrate on the story instead. Because, sometimes, I think the story deserves to be read (like "Viewfinder" or "Hidoku Shinaide").

I like a lot of mangaka but my favorite is definitely Nekota Yonezou. I absolutely adore her drawings and her ideas.
