idk if you’re being dense on purpose or something but it’s clear the author is Asian, this story is centered in a fictional kingdom with a obvious European aesthetic, but at the end of the day since it’s not based on a real western kingdom the author obviously would apply the societal norms they want, and in this case it’s the Asian ones as the previous comment explained to you, I do believe it’s weird, like in some manhwas they do it in front of their pets or something, but it’s silly nitpicking on this out of the whole story lmao
