I stopped reading this a while ago because the updates took forever, and I was lowk thinking about reading this again, but now, I'm steering CLEAR of this manhwa, and never trusting this author again
I mean, the prince was OBVIOUSLY the better choice. I remember somewhere after her real identity was revealed, they were blushing so much around each other. Like, hello??? If the author wanted the ML to be the knight, they should have written the two to have better chemistry than the MC and the prince.
I love her personality so much. You can tell she's got a big heart, but you can also tell that the abuse affected her ways of thinking (aka her "cruel side").
The part where she helped out the little blonde guy (the son of the empress), omg that part made me cry I'm glad the MC told the mom to be a part of her son's life rather than her doing all the work. And when the empress stood up to her father and protected the son I know he's gonna remember that for the rest of his life
I'm reading he official chapters, so I'm only at ch. 43, but why is the rating so low???? The MC isn't annoying, the ML isn't insufferable, there's a clear enemy, and the plot isn't confusing. This is like a 10/10 manhwa.
The depressing undertone of this story is literally one of my favorite things about this manhwa. I fucking love angsty stories with (I'm assuming) a happy ending.

Lowk, I liked the red head more than Rohan, he was super cute, but I wouldn't have minded either of them for the MC.
I was surprised when I saw that it was left as an open ending in terms of romance. It really seemed that the author was going for Rohan x MC as endgame.
Anyways, this story is super good. Like 10000/10 good. The MC really redeemed herself, and I was so happy that past Leon got some closure. I really liked that the author included that.
Omg, and when it showed that little dream fantasy where everyone, including that orange haired woman and her kid and the red head's sister, was all happy together and loving peacefully. That lowk made me tear up. I hope the emperor rots in hell, I hate him.
