(Or at least to my memory) And then the blonde didn't instantly correct the misunderstanding the top had. Like bro just apologize for making them feel more like a fuck buddie then ur bf, tell them they are important to u and ask what actions u can do to make them feel that ur taking the relationship serious.

If I was author I would make mc see the face of the guy in the basement. Then would've had the love interest say yes that man is dead when mc asks and threaten that he'll be next if he tells anyone what he saw (and at worse threaten the grandma). They'll probably go separate ways after this with the mc now thinking love interest is terrible. BUT later on he'll see the guy who was in the basement alive. Realize that love interest was lying and will start to question why he lied and if his threat was just a lie too. Come to realization that love interest was pushing him away to keep mc away from this life style. And then mc will leave the island to search for the love interest. BAM that's how easy it is to avoid using SA to move things along in ur writing.
The love interest says he was selfish for continuing the relationship knowing mc trauma with loan sharks then doing something like this really makes him a real asshole and their relationship unredeemable.

I think it's more bc he had intentions to completely break Arthur in order for him to become dependent on him. Just that kind of thought process makes him feel evil and unworthy of someone as genuine as arthur so I understand why he would feel so much regret

I couldn't get into the uke switching to disliking the seme and saying they're terrible but the next minute implying they already caught feelings for them. Its not that I don't understand the position the uke is in and how things can develop into this, but Ive read other stories with similar dynamics Ex. Steel Under Silk. And they do insanely better job at capturing the struggle the uke is facing with developing feeling in a relationship that you never really gave constent to be in and humanizing the seme.
I don't think uke dislike ML but more like he fears him. To be fair ML got more than a few reasons to kill MC and MC knew that. ML knew Kay is FBI and Chris is a cop. I think MC's like towards ML gradually developes because ML is the only one who treats him well. If MC is not scared of ML from the beginning, I doubt he won't pounce on ML. He consented the sex with ML. It's lust before feelings, ML was his type from the start.
About the cousin. Even though he is nc with is family. I don't think MC wanted more hate from them that is why he is tolerating his cousin. MC is ok with his cousin being dead just not in Miami cuz he is there.
I feel like im so many other stories even if the characters known how to put fight back like Euihyun they don't. I can appreciate the writing not being basic and not just using sa for plot.
