nitpicker 3000 has some things to say
- execution of the plot is meh & the resolution of most conflicts fell flat imo. it's tolerable for such a short story but i definitely wouldn't recommend reading for the plot
- if i had to name 1 thing i'd rec this for, it's the white puppy. the artist absolutely excels in drawing adorable puppy poses and expressions
- any other animal - as soon as the style was more refined than the simplified white puppy style - often looked wonky (spent too much time looking at the wolf's limbs trying to figure out if they make sense with the way they were bent)
- i appreciate that MC was in his puppy form with the ML for such a long time in the beginning cause it meant they could get close(r) without them going straight to fucking. it also made me worry less about any SA or rape happening. the dynamic between them was entertaining for the most part and the transition from being strangers to partners felt natural
- ML could've been a tad more pathetic for my taste but for what it's worth, he was perfectly stupid in love. appreciated every single love-struck expression on this man's face. not the greenest flag in the forest (perhaps i'm just branded for life but i couldn't shake off the feeling that he sometimes had the vibe of a typical self-serving bl manhwa top) but green enough. also, i'm a sucker for the dichotomy of a top being an unhinged killer around other people while being a dumb enamored mess around their partner, so there's that
- the sex got redundant after the second time ngl and something about the composition always felt off

same shit as always. heat suddenly hits omega mc in public, omega mc realizes he has run out of suppressants, almost gets assaulted in some alley. alpha ml comes to the "rescue". alpha ml takes omega mc home and assaults them there instead :^) the only exciting thing about this is the fact that the omega is smaller yet so much stronger than the alpha (unless he's in heat, which apparently renders him completely defenseless, sure...). the middle aged man from the alley was kinda interesting but who am i kidding, he's either gonna become the villain rapist or never show his face again
one more thing. i love submissive, dumb, crybaby alphas so much but this one's clearly a red flag in disguise. such wasted potential

an art style and design choices that only a mother will praise
if you consider picking this up, like, if you really badly want to read this for whatever reason, do yourself a favor and skip chapter 1 & 5.5. don't look back. don't give in to curiosity. if you treat chapter 2 like it was the start of the story and chapter 5.5 like it doesn't exist (and don't read my rant at the end), you might even have a decent time reading this manga

after the mess that was chapter 1, i kept scrolling just to see how bad it would get only to be left speechless at how the author sabotaged a generally engaging story within the first chapter. if only this ma guy hadn't established himself as a bona fide rapist from the get go, i maybe wouldn't have looked at him like someone deserving to be stabbed for the remaining chapters. he could be so nice and considerate, just not that first time? for whatever reason? at the point he "invaded" his home this already had enough elements to give it a controversial twist but then you also make him a rapist? ah, come on... this could have worked so well without the assault. and i'll say it how it is, ma and that pierced guy had way more chemistry. sue me
