Though I understand where people are coming from, please know that Jeannette is just an insecure character who doesn't have a family and is desperately searching for some kind of emotional stability in her life. If some of you are only judging based on the fact that she was originally the lovely Princess and now is a threat to our MC, take into consideration that she is not perfect and is in fact just a teenager. A flawed character as she may or may not be can change and become a greater support than anyone else.
She is being fed with corrupting words and has no one she can actually open her heart to. Neither is anyone being honest to her.
So please be patient and wait till we actually understand the bond Author wants to have between athy and Jeannette .
Personally I would love to see sister bond win over the prejudices of our society(▰˘◡˘▰)

At almost every other chapter the Mc does something that makes me want to punch the sh*t out of her. I just don't get what she wants from those around her. She wants to be treated like a queen without doing anything for them in turn.
I would've have liked it if this manga was a bit more realistic in showing how nothing ever comes by just sitting on a mat and scolding people like you are their superior.
She is sweet?? Only to males, she berates women at every opportunity.
She is humble?? Then you should not b*tch when you touch someone else's child.
She is caring?? She repeatedly turns down Parker's every single attempt to satisfy her bottomless greed.
Honestly I have stopped seeing myself in her. I can't feel a thing. Isn't the main point of a story is so that you can project yourself in them and see world from their lives???
I feel powerful when my MC is strong, Wise when they pull out a strategy, Brave when they stand up from unrecoverable situation.......

I totally agree! Her character is so wishy washy that its hard to make any sense of her actions. But its pretty typical of a Chinese story tbh... a lot of the characters from Chinese stories tend to be know it alls and cater the plot to one character regardless of how much sense it makes as a whole.
When did she asked to be treated like a queen? She is in a world where all women are treated that way because there are so few. She can't leave. She is trying to survive and has been pulled along and kidnapped and forced to live this life. Along the way she has tried to incorporate things from her old life so she can have something familiar and comforting , more healthy and to introduce it to others. The males in her harem are very controlling of her, telling her even when she should or shouldn't go outside. Also, why should she be in love or lust with Parker?He's nice and treats her well, why does that mean she has to feel attracted to him? You feel it or you don't. And he INSISTS on being with her. I wouldn't feel obligated to have sex with someone because they are being kind to me and I don't understand all the commenters who think she should. Finally, the main point of a nonfiction story is what the author wants the main point to be, it's not always a lesson or a place you have to identify with a character.
FL is supposed to be, like, 16 years old. You've met a brat at that age before, right?
I love how true to real life they kept it and didn't make them chase after each other right from the beginning. It keeps us aware about their individual life's, their struggle to adjust and Ambitions. This gives both their characters depth instead of making them depend on each other. He treats her like a normal soldier of his army and she treats him like any other superior. I must say I quite like the pace and am fine even without seeing any romantic development because this makes it so realistic and practical.
This is almost like a book if i had to compare it. I will just sit back and enjoy the progress

I rly like stories with actual character growth like we saw Alex mature and change and that made this story one of my favs lol I'm trying for the life of me to think of another one but I've read so many I can't come up with a good recommendation atm. :( sorry maybe At the End of the Road? (I kinda love that story, more relationship growth style thou) or Neon Sign Amber (a more realistic approach to a straight guy falling for a gay guy (love this story too) or Hidoku Shinaide (this one has good character development) I rly didnt like Maya for a good while but he gets way better. Idk you could look at my favorites? I hope you like those stories if you get around to reading them.
