These are both muslim names. One is Haider (Ha- pronounced like you do in have/had and der pronounced like the part after o in other) meaning lion/brave and the other is Rashid (Raa and shid is pronounced like ship but with a soft d) meaning wise one or being on the right path.

I found this: حيدر but it means الأسد، الجميل، السمين according to wikipedia.
حيدر is the correct reading of the name Haider. These basically mean lion/the brave one. the rightful one etc.
الأسد translates to the lion
The other name reads راشد in Arabic (Rashid, or Rachid as you translated it). The meanings are the same as the ones I mentioned in the above comment.
In the blank bubble, he just repeats his words "I love you"...
well not exactly cuz in the previous bubble it is written "omae wo aishiteiru" (omae=you, ai=love). And in the second bubble "aishiteiru" and that's all.
But it's a common thing in japanese to remove the subject and all when we already know who/what we're talking about.
PS: I'm a noob at Japanese. But I heard that sentence a lot in anime... so... well I hope I didn't get it wrong! ;p

I think extended exposure to stress stimulus can cause that somehow... but usually, it doesn't work like that, usually the person should be brooding about the idea (the marriage of Raymond) and not dismissing it like Ian did. But let's say, he does it more often off screen. ^^
