I really love when the story gives us some answers
I didn't read the novel and I'm slow, so I didn't understand what was up with Derrick.
At some point I really thought he was redeemable and could go through a well written redemption arc, because like Penelope, I could never imagine he'd have such feelings towards her.
He felt that way while treating her like shit, what kind of person develops romantic feelings in this type of situation??
A messed up person, for sure
I'm a tired optimistic, so I'm still hoping that Reynold can become a good brother and the duke can be a better father.
Both Penelope and the girl who's in her body really deserve better.
I'm also really hoping Calisto won't repeat what he said before (that they naturally suit each other because they're both black sheeps). She deserves someone who likes her for real, not because it's convenient.
I know he's the male lead and all and he's been pretty great (after he stopped threatening her life), but I feel like Penelope needs more than a dude who can provide safety.
She needs love and care.
She needs to be freaking cherished and have someone who she can rely on.
My girl is so tired, I want to see her not depressed and running for her life at least once before this ends
╥﹏╥
Dude
Atil is so perceptive, this author is so good at making smart characters lol
I'm a dumbass I thought lyrica was just being cheerful like always, he realized very quickly that she's talking about taking refuge and feeling safe when facing unpleasant things, BECAUSE something happened to her
(Besides all the shit that has already happened)
I'm so slow, all I was thinking was "lyrica is so strong and smart"
While she's probably very NOT FINE right not ; - ;
As someone who hasn't read the novel:
This doesn't feel rushed at all
I'm sure the original is better written and it takes more time to explore the characters
But let's be real
This manhwa has never gave off vibes of a grand deep story
We wanna see Andante grovel for a bit and redeem himself enough to finally convince us he's gonna make hyoseop happy
I really don't want to go through 10+ chapters of the same thing
Let the manhwa author cook, comic pacing can be different from written novel pacing
As someone who's just started the novel(chapter 110) it's actually interesting to compare them. There are quite a few things missing and some context that isn't addressed. I will admit there is a bit more filler as well and things take a few chapters. Like the twist with Oinaip's/MOLE's guide is mentioned in the chapter where he comes back.
I can agree with both sides. I also haven't read the novel but understand that it can be disappointing when a book you loved isnt adapted the way you wished. But at the same time, an adaptation is going to have changes. Some good, some bad.
Based on the comments, im going to treat this like a movie adaptation. Read this first, then go to the light novel for more detail and depth. That way I can enjoy both!
I actually understand why the rush but it was confusing at first and some what disappointed in a way because some scenes are change but that all but yeah I think I can't take another slow burn chasing arch that freaking misunderstanding wasssss sooo argggggg hahahahahahah but yeah I will still read it through hahah

I'm dropping this if it turns out to be another echii harem disguised as shonen
