Korean Manhwa seem far less homophobic than Japanese Manga. Some are crazy, sure, but the main characters seem to actually identify as gay in manhwa vs straight-except-for-this-one-guy and a male/female dynamic shown in manga. The Koreans show that it can be done!
I'm not sure if you're being stupid but you do know that Korean society are more homophobic, right? Japan has laws protecting the lgbt community and some prefectures even has laws legalizing same sex marriage while Korea on the other hand still treat homosexuality like a disease. Being gay is even a ground for being discharge in Korea. If kpop celebrities are asked if they're gay, they will say they're NORMAL instead of just dismissing the claim .
Just because you have a less stereotypical author doesn't mean it REFLECTS the whole society.

I mean, at least it's not like China, because I'm pretty sure it's like the Salem witch trials over there. Of course I'm probably exaggerating
YuYang has had to deal with homophobes and LiHuan had to deal with A-holes. At this point I don't even give AF about smut, I will only be satisfied with diabetus-level sugary sweet love to stem from this! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ
I totally clock out when the seme is a one-note air of arrogance. Call me crazy, I just prefer my semes to at least occasionally get visibly flustered. Berating and taunting the uke 100% of the time feels unauthentic.
I get always cringe every time I hear that whole "at least your body is honest" garbage during instances of rape. It's looney toons level batshit and derails my interest in the story...
Right?? I was pissed off in the first few pages already and when I returned home and check the title, well what to do you know! The title says exactly what this damn manga is lmao ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I don't get any sense of chemistry here. Just a doormat and a rude bully. I'm going back to Junjou Romantica. At least that mangaka fleshed out the characters enough that I can get on board with basically this type of scenario (the bully and the doormat).
