I love how he’s gone from actual criminals to just really fucking shitty people, it shows how his morals are more muddled than before (assuming he had only done this to criminals before hand) and makes us think that he can go even further. I think I kinda look forward to a future where he does this to someone who is innocent of whatever crime they were framed for or whatever crime he thinks they’ve committed, I just think it would be fun knowing he’s wrong for once and that this person didn’t deserve it.
But he is a criminal, he didn't directly kill anyone but he instigated it and planned it, it was just a matter of time before he he killed someone with his own hands looking at it from a psychological standpoint, the same with the reporter right before Dan came from out of his car he was about to kill an old man by a car crash and say it was an accident, he went from instigating murder to attempting it.
Man I don’t pay attention when reading just in general so I might not have gotten it right but I’m only counting the people who went through with the crime since there’s always a chance for them to back down at the last minute. I’m sorry but I just had to come back and say this: I really hope she doesn’t forgive her brother straight away. I mean he, the only person with a job in their household, left her for half a year and didn’t visit her (I’m assuming he can leave where he is currently staying) or even send her a letter. She probably feels like utter shit knowing her brother practically abandoned her and forgot about her. I know he probably had his reasons but he’s kind of a shit person for leaving someone who depended on him (yes I’m assuming she didn’t have a job based off of his dialogue, he seemed like he wanted his sister to relax more than anything.) I think this is hella good I mean: a compassionate and brave female lead who isn’t annoyingly stubborn, the fact that there is a kind female lead and a male character who you could easily make her love interest but it isn’t a romance, the pacing although fast doesn’t make you feel like your missing anything, a plot that sounds familiar but new at the same time and characters who have potential to grow into something great. But that is just my opinion ;;; I do have to admit that the fast pacing is a little scary especially since so many fast paced things have turned out badly but I’ll definitely continue reading this!
