From what I've seen, maybe she's a witch? They changed how col met the girl. Col had a guard with her when she was singing her song in front of the grave and her guard was hostile towards the girl. Then it showed someone burning at the stake so maybe a witch???

Oh ok, I just read the chapter. It's true that she jumped to save Haru, but since she's one of the supporting characters, she didn't die and didn't sustain any injuries because the accident that has (unofficially) happened to her, (officially) happened to another student instead. She changed the story, and in result, a student died, because of her, that's why she was so down during the last few pages.
