Look I understand that the story is set where cheating is common in married relationships. I understand. I’m a fujoshi so wanting two fictional men together and even two real life men that I don’t know together, is something I would do. Thing is, I’m not rude or fetishistic. I’m not going to go online and tell people how much I think these two real life men should be together of try and force friends who don’t feel anything for one another together. The fact that this girl still ships that man with her husband, says so out loud, and doesn’t care at all that they have sex, is all the evidence I need to prove that she isn’t in love with him. Sure she might be attached to him, she might find him a good looking man and she might feel okay around him, doesn’t mean she loves him. And the butler dude, I forget his name in outrage, he’s most probably in love with her husband. It’s been years for those two so it’s not really surprising. Though I believe that the feelings aren’t reciprocated in any way shape or form if not her husband, whose name I’ve also forgotten, wouldn’t be so easily swayed by his wife. In this entire chapter he seems to be falling in love with her imo. I have my opinions of cheating, it’s a no for me. This doesn’t seem to be a monogamous relationship so the mangaka should’ve set it up to be polyamorous from the beginning so that people can get used to it. As long as the husband can stop prioritizing one over the other and love them all equally and they love each other equally and it’s a consenting polyamorous relationship, I’ll stop being disgusted by the husband. Until then, this feels like a husband cheating on his wife with his childhood friend and the wife doesn’t love him enough to care because it was an arranged marriage. I’m still going to read to see if that vibe ever changes though.

I think that she accepted the fact it was a political marrige, and she apologized to the butler for taking his lover away. She can't change the fact that they are husband and wife and will play her role as she had to, but she will not denie the butler's love for her husband- she accepted this fact, "He was his before he was hers". So she sees the butler not as her husband's lover but as a concubine- That's why when she speaks to the butler she says "OUR husband" and not "My husband".

I’m not saying she doesn’t accept it, what I’m sayin is she doesn’t love him yet and the husband doesn’t love his man either. I can’t see any love in any of the relationships shown besides the butlers love for the husband. I want that to improve. I want to see them all loving each other equally because the way I see it, it’s not balanced and I don’t like it. I didn’t come to this story for the plot, I came to see shoujo romance and the plot is what keeps me staying. I need the romance on all sides to entertain me or I’m just going to continue feeling like the vibe is wrong.

That might be the case which is why I’m continuing to read this but I want development on both sides. I need to see love balanced throughout all three of their relationships. I never said I hated any of the characters, just that the love on all three sides needs to balance out soon or this feeling of discomfort is just going to stay with me whenever I read it ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Honestly I like this story, it isn’t a favorite of mine by any means but I can enjoy it. One thing I’ve always enjoyed about this manga in particular is how different the relationship between Shin and Cecily is from most manga like this. He isn’t reluctant to teach her how to fight, he doesn’t scorn her or pity her. Cecily is pretty damn strong now on her own. I feel like on chapter 24 and 25 people see him lashing out and killing all of those demons because he thought she couldn’t handle it but that isn’t the case. The demons were targeting her right in front of him and he had to watch. Cecily was fighting very well before then but sometimes there were too many targeting her at once so he’d have to intervene. Can you imagine around ten people surrounding your lover and watching even though you know they can handle themselves without getting thoroughly angry. I mean I don’t have a lover but I can’t imagine that either. When people say they wish she was stronger, she’s shown she could fight well multiple times, just look. I actually really like Cecily because she isn’t just a non personality in a part of a harem like most stories like this. There are certain isekai where the harem works, very few and far between, but even those I’m sick of. This story isn’t perfect but if you enjoy it, enjoy it for what it is.

Despite usually being able to read and enjoy certain yaoi with rape as a main thing in yao8 and knowing that this would involve it beforehand, most yaoi readers didn’t like this story. Not because of the rape involved, although for some people that might have been the case. We were all made to believe that these two hated each and that the Seme was doing everything for his revenge on the Uke. Everything with the uke was predictable and was the normal cliche which I actually didn’t mind, the uke was fine. HOWEVER, the problem involves the readers disbelief that the seme fell in love with the uke without any clear hints when all we’ve seen from the uke is straight up hatred. The seme never feels bad about blackmailing the uke which I’m these stories is usually something that will inevitably happen. This story reads more like a psychological thriller than a romance because non of the readers can actually believe that these two are in love. If eventually the seme learned that the uke had moved on and found no pleasure in people who are weaker and was becoming a better person and then fell for the uke while he was doing all the blackmailing then that would make sense but all that we see is the blackmail sex and the moments when then seme are angry. They could have cut out at least one sex scene to make the romance seem believable but they didn’t. In the end it’s another story with a rape plot that probably could’ve had potential but failed. Thank you to the translators who worked on this, it must’ve been difficult and even though I’m saying all of this I still appreciate everything you do. Thank you for posting this on here whoever you are because even if it wasn’t my favorite read ever it filled a bit of my boredom.
This is the first time I’ve seen a high school building in manwha, manga, or manhua look exactly like the high school I want to as a kid. It’s actually kind of freaky and awesome.
