You all put modern standards on this story that's clearly set in a regency era (suprise suprise, they have old-fashioned logic). I like it because the conflict is within their relationship and they aren't inherently bad as shown by their environment and the actions they take to survive it. This story is unbelievably real in many cases.

You do realize they both know nothing about each other, like really know anything about each other? They are strangers, I'm not going up to a rando and say I'm on my period. I was reluctant to tell my male teacher that I'm on my period when I needed to go to the nurse and it's 2020. A period is always something that's been a weird subject to talk about. Hell, even family members like brothers don't even want to talk about periods with their sisters cus they find it gross.

The ML is actually refreshing? I think it's because I'm kinda shocked that he isn't a cold, chivalrous, or princely type of character, even though his looks are stoic or serious. he fits the hot-headed and aggressive types, which can't even be used for a second male lead in other stories.

I wouldn't be surprised if SH denies it or straight on accepts it, either way. He's really is unpredictable. In terms of drama, SH will deny it and ignore NK. Or maybe, the most outrageous thing happens and he lets NK go. NK does not have Stockholm syndrome, he just has poor self-esteem and thinks he has worth being a prostitute. It's just the only option for NK to have SH, cus where is he going to go? what is his aspirations?. SO of course NK would be sad to go, because even SK that screws everyone, doesn't even want NK. If NK really is devasted he might go into prostitution later. If NK's fortunate, no face will steal him before NK does something he'll regret.

no wonder the og pryde became malicious. She is naturally highly intelligent. However as she was neglected early on, she knew in her brain and heart that her parents didn't love her. it made it clear when no matter how bratty and spoiled she acted, they never once reprimanded her nor encouraged her to act better. she acted self-entitled and spoiled because she was given all this power, not taught how to use it for good, and didn't have people to tell her no. that's bad parenting 101. a more complex reason for doing it, is to gain any sort of recognition from anybody(that she is the center, or she is important) because her whole life is neglected.

honestly, the entire family dynamic is so weird since shuli is technically still very young. Do the kids understand that shuli is 16? while she's considered an adult at 16, she is only older by a few years, yet so much paperwork to deal with, business to take care off, 4 children to raise, a passing death to give respects to, and sitting with a bunch of old ladies to weave political power. Even other ladies around her, aren't close to doing that much work or have that much responsibility. No wonder in her previous life she went insane, everyone is driving her off a cliff.

I hope the author wont make her useless. Its already shoen that the author is breaking stereotypes with a berserk type character actually gardening. Maybe the female has hidden powers
