It seems... more rounded? Season 2 (Triple Crown ss1) was full of Shin’s face being sorta harshly drawn and distorted.
Is it just me or the plot quality has seriously plummeted from the prequel/season 1? I mean, a GIANT? If they have a freaking giant, why do they need human-sized bodyguards? I know this universe has magic and all, but there had never been anything about human and giant cohabiting and suddenly there’s a giant in the tournament?

Bruh no. That’s a giant. He’s as tall as a 2-storey house. Hate me all you want, but Triple Crown ss1 had so many plot holes and conflicts and illogic that I tried to ignore because I love King’s Maker (the perfect prequel), but now that I have seen the giant... it’s just bad, ya know?
Nah bruh why would I hate you for that? you have every right to express your disappointment as a reader.. and as much as I looove king's maker myself.. like so muchhh!! I still think it doesn't fulfill its potential yet.. with these characters and this world building the plot could be even more wider and deeper. But at the end of the day it's still so freaking enjoyable and unique
He even went out of his way to reassure Shirakaba by calling him with his first name (a very private and endearing act) when they met again. There should be nothing to worry about.
I bet Shirakawa would flip out in the next chapt... (or at least misunderstand)

Want to knock one star off for the unnecessarily evil girlfriend (her characteristics and that part about her manipulating the HR were kinda far-fetched) but I will keep 5* because I absolutely adore this couple (▰˘◡˘▰)

Yeah like she is like a beast tamer or a leash that keep him sane. He is the perfect Emperor for the country with her. But he will be the greatest villain without her
