Somebody explain why I got the notification of it being updated when it clearly hasn't

It's probably because before the update chapter 39 didn't show the rest of the chapter so they decided to update the rest of the chapter other than updating the next chapter! (Sorry if it's confusing to read (￣∇￣"))
So its like they corrected ch 39 but not really uploaded ch 40 thats why therrs a notig of update? Did i get it right? Haha thankss
Okay I went through a couple of the comments and it seems that chapter 40 was updated but deleted because it was messy so that's why we got the notification of an update.

They've got two cats and now a semi-puppy like fox as well! I m so longing for a pet right now especially during this lockdown, one I can hug all day. I've two tortoises but I can't hug them n they do nothing. I want a fat cat or a big dog
I totally feel the same way; I had a dog since I was 12 and she passed away a few years ago and it's been a huge adjustment living without dogs in my life. And I can't help thinking right now how great it would be to have a dog to cuddle and be able to play with, especially during the quarantine. People keep telling me to "temporarily" foster a dog, but I'm currently not in a financial place to have a pet right now. So currently I just live vicariously through other people's pets online haha.
Also I really love the image of someone hugging a tortoise and their awkward tortoise faces being like "nooooooooo" as they try to retreat into their shell lol
