I need to come back to this after this arc. I wish it had followed the novel storyline. This is getting annoying. Like how did Duke Alpheus intend to use Jeannette but keep her so stupid? Doesn’t make sense. Neither does Athanasia’s actions in all this (considering she’s so educated, I would think she could do more than be idle), and Lucas. Lucas is just here right now and that is so NOT his character. He has never just been an idle character.

I feel so bad for the seme. Just think, he genuinely liked someone who only ended up using him and then Taeyoon missed him for years. Also he missed the first years of his kid’s life. That’s heartbreaking. My dad was so excited to name me. He literally recorded my first steps. We have a million pictures together from when I was a baby and I am bonafide adult and he still likes to tell me stories from when I was a baby. I know this is fake, but I’m the context of the story, Taeyoon missed all of those moments and he never gets them back. That’s just so wrong. There is not a single way to justify Eunhoo. It would have been one thing if Taeyoon was toxic or dangerous but he’s a really good guy It’s crazy to me that Eunhoo can even slightly justify himself in his mind. Then he sits there and get closer to him and kisses him. He is the worst kind of toxic tbh.
I am hoping for character development though so I’m going to keep reading and I like that we have a story with a non-toxic seme here

I feel like this is getting drug put unnecessarily. It would be cool if there was conflict with actual plot development or significant events happening but I’m not seeing that. I know Athy says she can’t kill him because of what the nobles would think but honestly he got killed before by Claude for tyranny so I don’t think they could give a great argument on why he can’t be killed again. Also him coming back just screams of black magic...like that’s common sense. No way someone of Claude’s power level would try to kill someone and that person comes back without so much as a scar. Also she could claim that it’s too convenient that the king suddenly is ill and then he shows up and she could blame it on him (since no one knows why Claude is ill). I mean he’s over there making baseless accusations so she could as well. She could have him locked away for investigation based on that (not that a cell could hold him). She could have had Whitey thrown in jail for undermining royal authority since she is technically in charge, thus hindering Anas.
Athy’s approach is way too lax. She knows the guy uses black magic and she knows he’s dangerous and likely wants them gone so idk why she isn’t being more proactive in how she’s dealing with him. I wouldn’t just be letting him roam around. She also knows now that he could possibly be mind controlling Whitey so there’s no guarantee he won’t do it to more noble heads to try to have her dethroned.
