I don’t think it’s cool that the king is willing to just push off Rudiger’s behavior like it’s no big deal. He’s needs to be punished in some capacity because this mostly affects the FL more than any other. I don’t like how Rudiger’s can bash the FL then pity the younger sister (who had it easier) then do problematic stuff like this which once more affects the FL. Like what if the father and mother try to make this a diplomatic issue and blame the FL?
Also it’s clear he doesn’t respect the authority of the FL as empress because 1) he lied when she inquired about the weird sounds from the carriage 2) he didn’t even apologize or seem remorseful

Seriously tho, we understand in spite of how the knight acts is for the sake of his care for his majesty, in his position, he (inadertently) takes advantage of how lenient the ML is.
What is even so stupid is how we thought Rudiger learned to accept Naveah and establish her intentions are genuine. But he still shows his insubordination and lack of loyalty he's SUPPOSED to give her.

Like this is a pretty realistic depiction of a relationship between two young adults who are not communicating correctly. Which happens often. I can’t understand why so many of you are hating on the FL. It’s not her fault that her friend has a crush on her. She’s not obligated to like him back. He knowingly went into their relationship without defining it, so I can’t entirely blame either of them for wanting different things. But her just wanting sex does not make her a bad or awful person. She’s never lied to him about things or hidden her intentions.
The only slight fault I could find with the FL is telling her ex he had a small penis as the reason they broke up. Don’t get me wrong, she is entirely entitled to break up with him for that reason, but she probably shouldn’t have voiced it. Well, at least, I wouldn’t voice it that directly.

He’s not a great character tbh. He’s the standard guy who’s been given whatever he wanted all his life and can’t take no for an answer. Then he uses his power to force a girl who clearly doesn’t like him to remain near him. He’s completely inconsiderate towards his fiancé too. He knows that she’s possessive because he’s all she had while being a hostage in their kingdom. This doesn’t excuse Elenora, but at least I can slightly imagine that she would be better if she received therapy due to abandonment or something. But Diego, he literally forced himself between the main couple, then throws on the hurt puppy eyes when Ibelina tells him that she doesn’t want to be near him now that the king isn’t helping to force her to stay. Like why tf are you shocked? Did you think she was suddenly going to like you despite saying the exact opposite this whole time??
This is going to probably sound wrong, but I totally understand why the older daughter was a bit jealous. Not saying it’s right, but I understand.
When I was younger, I didn’t like to share my parents with outsiders lol. My dad is nice and when we would go to church, there was this little 6 or 8 year old girl who would want to sit on his lap and talk to him because he taught their Sunday school sometimes. She was always really mouthy about it too and would shoot me these looks like she was his favorite. Mind you, I was like 16 or 17, but I was like “nah,” and straight up pushed her off his lap to the floor. He thumped me in the middle of my head for it but it was worth it lol
