There is a 5th prince (I thing Wang wu?), but even then the heir wasn't really decided by age it was decided by their mother's position so if the blue haired co sort gave birth to a prince it's likely he will be the next emperor.

im a teenage girl and ik I don't speak for the rest of them, but honestly, I've never seen the appeal in this style other than the fact that its a pre requisition for a future makeover. like the mc will wear borderline childish clothing (like frilly stuff, bows, etc) and then when they have a party arc or sumn she wears something mature and elegant and blows everyone away. I totally get that its to show the difference in style and up the "wow" factor as well as display development, but it just irks me because the mc usually compares themself to the "refined and well mannered" female counterpart when she would look just as good, if not even better, yk?

the premise is very similar to korean style comics but since its a chinese comic this is gonna be a fucking rollercoaster. the art is good and it looks decent asf so far so im here for it. i just hope it doesnt end up trash as i force myself to finish it because im already invested
(this is basically a rant but I do some explaining about the story and like an over all recap. so I guess, read it if you're bored or want a refresher bc it updates very blue moon)
I've gotten wind that people think this story is bland/boring and my only question is, do y'all eat your food seasonless and uncooked ?
this is a slow burn which means its gonna take a minute before its ready
I understand that compared to a lot the other comics out there this is "less action packed" but it has this certain charm in terms of that factor. it is very detail oriented and leaves interesting clues that one might miss if it was full of action every factor. and the way I see it, its no where near fully developed in any aspect. firstly the plot is still ripening and theres many many questions to be answered.
the first of these 2 main questions is: what deal did Erin's mother make and what were the terms of the contract and the cost ? is she even really dead as Erin's memory never had a funeral or anything past that flashback scene ? maybe she did actually flee; and yes I know she would never leave her daughter behind seeing how much she loved her, but what if she saw in her tarot cards the future Erin would have and thats why she left her behind. after all the life of a wandering gypsy is dangerous and no place to raise a child.
the second is: what the prince's plans are and how they involve the bumble bee (as the details of said plans are still so vague other than wanting to topple the duke). as we've seen it all stems from a puerile jealousy, but as the future leader of a monarchy every move he makes with drastically alter the countries political state and seeing as how the duke holds a substantial amount of power the economic crash that would follow his downfall is inevitable. the prince isn't stupid, he's just a bitch and I wanna know whats going on in his skeavy little bitch boy head.
lastly the romance is no where near developed in any way and its such a well written one at that, that I could wait a while longer. theres honestly such an organic chemistry and well played character dynamic between the two leads. it doesn't seem forced and there aren't really try hard moments to add it in. also though they like each other, they still objectively know nothing about one another. like other than him knowing erin didn't have the best child hood and sumn shady with her mom and then her knowing rowan also didn't have the best child hood and some shit relatives they don’t know much about each other. they need some serious 3 am talks.
I have very high hopes that by the end of this I will be enjoying a v e r y well done steak that is seasoned and cooked better than something made by Gordon Ramsey himself.
don’t jump the gun on a good story because its not done yet.
