So the maiden dies of illiness while the other guy finds a girl who is a look alike, the maiden asks to be but into a female clothing she first wore when she meet her Best friend when she die. When the guy comes to the funeral he sees her. End of story: the emperor asks what would Yoen do if she was the Maiden ? Than she grew sus. Rest is rest.

Read it to the end. Every action has an explanation and every explanation comes with a valid reason. No spoiler, but the princes past immaturity opened him up to things but if you get the whole story you will understand that he was not truly trash, just childish and easily used.

Honestly i like one of the second male leads better.But she hates the prince, gets over it and decides that she can love him again in the end so im ok with it. He honestly not the best for her but he changes the most and chases her/works the hardest. I think his effort and character development is why hes the main lead. Plus when someone you love who you thought changed for worse, becomes the person you loved again, i honestly felt it was inevitable, and i totally get it. (Not super happy about it but its realistic)

If you haven't started reading it yet the FL is smart and well spoken. She is probably the best FL the genre has to offer. She isn't 'so random' like some of the strong leads from chinese versions of the genre, she isn't a perfect saint like some of the FLs in popular reincarnation stories (ex: Doctor Elise) she is strong willed and yet very reasonable. The only other female lead I enjoy at her level is Aria Roscente from The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass.
I like her so far, that emperor ( childhood friend or wbatever) is really pissing me off
