But there was some misunderstanding and Daniel fucking thought that the prince was into Mildred. Or that first instance when Daniel thought that Mildred wanted to interact with Leon because she was into younger boys. Oh and what made me question him all together is his magical power and when he used it on the count that disrespected Mildred in the remarriage party (it's not directly stated, but... I pretty much assume it was him? Correct me if I am wrong) and after the manhwa showed him violently murder or injure some thiefs, I just couldn't shake of the thought of "What if he killed Mildred's 1st husband and then Fred?"

true he said that he would "protect" her but the way I see it that gash on her hand is a direct consequence of him failing his oath and not telling her her the truth and to her enemies now it only looks like she ran away, he hindered her, not helped her.
