now that comments are back i just want to cry about this manhwa. this is my fave ongoing manhwa at the moment because man it just keeps you reading. i love office romance stories because the setting is so cute like take for example heaven and hell roman company, this gives real similar vibes to that. all the characters are fun and well written and real in a way that you could think of people you know like this in real life (well, if you work in an office some of these personalities are definitely recognizable like the scum ceo that’s blackmailing hyunsoo) BUT LETS TALK ABOUT THE ROMANCE GUYS! 99% of the time in BL the enemies to lovers trope is done in such a straighfoward and unoriginal way to read. its always mc hates but secretly is in love with their “enemy”. the author takes such a nice and slow approach with their dynamic. hyunsoo as a main character has very strict and set in stone values when it comes to relationships because he values success over anything, which is why he only pursued sexual ones. then youngchan (someone who hyunsoo hates by default because of his behaviour) starts to show him affection, genuine care and love, he softens. And what i love the most is despite the fact that hyunsoo is going through an emotionally draining situation (ie his mother, the blackmailing), it doesnt feel like his vulnerability is being taken advantage of because he wants to remain strong for youngchan, he doesnt want to attach himself too strongly. youngchan is breaking hyunsoo in the best way possible and putting him back together and its so sweet and adorable and funny and THIS MANHWA IS SO AMAZING I LOVE IT. If anything the sex scenes are a little intense but they’re becoming more and more intimate so i can adjust and agh!
