That's what I felt too, until I feel like Remilia and Emi are like soul sisters, it's almost weird for me to ship them after that (not the sister part but more because Emi "lives" in Remilia so it's like?? Self-cest? Idk lol). But then again I don't feel Remilia's chemistry with the demon guy either.

I did entertain that idea at the beginning but it's very much so familial love in the end. They seem to deeply love and care about each other but it's not romantic

Yeah I definitely feel like Remilia holds a lot more love for Emi since she was able to see her actions and her memories but it's definitely Emi's heartfelt wishes (for remilia to be loved and happy) that touched Remilia in the first place

Some of us DO like meek, weak, tender ukes—however, I do think this story has plateaued too long in both plot and character behavior with both leads. That does it mean that those types of ukes aren’t a good read. I personally like extreme opposites with the uke being nearly helpless. Dan is just, sadly, too stupid and gullible. Lots of good richly-written meek characters have shined out there in BL-land.
don't get me wrong, i do too. i especially love it when they're pure/innocent and sometimes clueless and even meek (because they're v relatable) but what Dan is, is just a doormat.
