these misunderstandings NEED to stop. it's not good storytelling, it just makes everyone involved so frustrated. like the story itself doesn't make any sense at this point. everyone is suspicious of everyone and these three dumbasses are plotting in the back trying to 4d chess the situation like Nocton is this big bad scary even though all Duroa has to do is TALK TO HIM.
this goes the other way too, Nocton could just talk to her and problem fucking solved. although judging by Duroa's small brain character she might just not believe him either way even if he tells the truth about what's been going on. my god someone get all these fools some common sense from the nearest dumpster because I don't know how much of this kindergarten drama i can take
I'm seeing a lot of comments trying to explain and defend the mom's actions and to a certain extent i agree: the husband is a pos for leaving her all alone, she was a young new mom and inexperienced etc
BUT
there was an easy solution. the nanny knew how to handle the child so she could have just left it at that. or asked the nanny to teach her how to care for a child. instead she doubled down, fired the nanny and put a baby through bs she didn't need to go through (borderline abuse, even if unintentional) just because of her pride.
not to mention the later abuse she put her daughter through when she made her hide her powers because she didn't like it. it seems like MC has a lot of repressed trauma linked to the actions of her mum and the neglect of her dad. both are shit parents and while to some extent we can sympathize and understand their reasoning, those reasonings still come from character flaws that they never tried to correct for the sake of their child. all around a mess, and i said above we can sympathize but don't excuse her actions. she needs to take responsibility for messing up her daughter and put her through garbage.
I'm assuming her solution to dress up the child so she would shut up is what made MC so vain and care so much about her looks, because her mom did and she probably wanted her mom's attention. and because her parents always ignored what she wanted or what she had to say is why she is seeking attention and validation through the public eye. a really messy situation ngl
