Telling people to ‘ move on’ and ‘stuck in a middle schooler mindset’ without knowing what they been through is ass. Furthermore, ‘it’s none of our business’ (?) bruh this is fictional, everyone is allowed to have an opinion. Opinions vary based on experience so you can’t expect people to forgive him just because you don’t think what he did was a big deal.
in the case of this particular story the issue is simply friends drifting apart bc of misunderstanding. others projecting their much bigger issue onto this doesn't uphold any value to my argument. when it comes to this type of stuff you really should have worked through it already during highschool which is what we see here. friends finally talking about what made them have issues and mutually agreeing to forgive each other and move on together. which is much more mature than many comments reacting to the situation
