Like I get you, this shit should be called out but depending on the person, if theyre a big enough asshole it would only escalate the situation and make everyone uncomfortable (plus the possibility of arsehole comin back at them with a grudge). Personally I think he did a good job defusing the situation? But yeah it's best to call this stuff out. It's a common thing in Korea. Something with their age system is wacc af so its typical to not oppose those who are older than you.

that was the best option at hand though. in korea, you have to be subservient to those older than you, even if its just by one year. For close friends, they probably wont care about it, but in the workforce, school or just to the general public, its a big deal and is generally "disrespectful" to go against them, even if theyre being disruptive.
In this situation, seeing that the red head is already such an arrogant fool, confronting him and shaming him would just escalate the situation since hes so unreasonable and make it uncomfortable for the restaurant owners, and the partygoers. Definitely not good for the longrun, but as long as they avoid the redhead, nothing would happen.
