This is an adorable story about a young man's first crush and his fears and insecurities about his sexual orientation. Though the characters are drawn to look very young, the uke is written as a high school senior (3rd year). The story is touching, poignant and sweet. The art is beautifully done.
There is a sequel / prequel / spin-off story as well. Koi Nanka Shitakunai

All (or most) of the comments hating this manga are based on how disgusted and angry readers were with characters and / or situations. I didn't see many comments referring to the story being slow, confusing, boring, or poorly written.
I understand hating a character or situation in a manga, but if a story gets you that "fired up" ... isn't that the mark of an incredible writer? They pulled you into their world and got you emotionally attached to their characters. So much so, that you wanted to vent your anger and frustration by commenting.
That tells me the story was well written, the plot was compelling and the characters were "fleshed out" perfectly. People don't get emotionally charged by boring, confusing or poorly written stories. So, in fact, this is an excellent manga, with stories and characters that you "love to hate".

This was some D*MN GOOD YAOI!! To my fellow, but young, fujoshis... It's FICTION -- FANTASY.
NO UKES WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS MANGA
Slow your roll and just enjoy two hot bishies getting their groove on. No one said you (or anyone) should try this at home. Yaoi is like pro- wrestling -- fun to watch, but leave the moves to the pros.

This is the third(?) manga by this mangaka that I've read...and ambiguous, "leave 'em hanging" endings seem to be their modus operendi (M.O. -- model of operating). This takes a well written story line and relegates it to the "meh" file. If the stories ended definitively, they would be truly incredible.
Some will say, "This is how real life is." and I will reply, "If I want to read about real life I will pick up a newspaper." I read yaoi to escape real life -- this is my fantasy universe, don't muck it up with real life.

This is a good "light" read after something long and drawn out or sad. Cute, quick story lines with enough drama to keep you interested but not overly emotional. Plenty of smexyness with dirty talk thrown in to keep it exciting. The art is well done... normally I don't dig the "chibi" versions of characters but here they were just so darn cute!
Try this one next time you're up for a cute read.

... not a fun story to read first thing in the morning.
It was, however, an amazing story. I'm actually speechless. *stands with mouth open* I honestly thought he'd be saved at the last minute - right up to the last page. Even though I knew he / they were dead. My heart actually hurts right now. My mind and heart are all over the place right now.
HOLY HERA! That was the most amazing manga. I totally didn't see that ending coming! Not even a little.

Asagi was.... as expected. You just don't mess with the uke that belongs to that type of seme.

There are types of seme? Please elaborte ><

Oh sure... there's the shy seme, the tsundere seme, the bad-ass yakuza seme, the selfish seme, the S&M seme who is usually the Sadist, there are masochistic semes too, there is the cool company director/president seme and let's not forget the sweet, lovey-dovey seme. There are as many types of seme as there are breeds of dogs....or should I say cats (neko = uke).
Do you not read much yaoi? It (your question) seems odd because within this manga alone most of these types are depicted.

umm,can i ask? neko=uke,seme=??
well,i dont know,so i ask...hahaha

"in real life", no that's just Japanese slang. There's pitcher or the catcher, giving or receiving, or simply; top or bottom.

There are some extraordinary manga out there and this one surpasses them all!! The title doesn't give enough credit to this incredible story.
I've always said that the sign of a great mangaka was if they could evoke strong emotion in their readers. Well, congratulations sensei... I bawled my poor eyes out...several times! They were happy tears at the end though.
This story is well written, the art is "ink heavy" but never unattractive or overly busy, and the characters are fleshed out beautifully and realistically. Once again, I despised a chick in yaoi, a whiny, meddling one this time.
This manga is worth every second of your time and every tear and sob.
..depiction of S&M, and done with sensitivity to the type of relationship formed by partners in it.
Not only is this manga well researched, it is well written and beautifully drawn.
To young fujoshi: This is NOT the typical "S&M" you find in yaoi -- tied up, blindfolded, etc.( that is actually B&D) This is closer to "the real deal" of S&M. With whips, biting chains, suspension, piercing and branding. This is NOT for those who enjoy "a little tie up".
If you choose to read this, please remember... S&M requires complete and unwavering trust by all persons involved (and some intense training from a "master" - the expert kind) and should NOT be dabbled in by the inexperienced. IOW, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!
