I don't at all blame the FL for accepting the apology from the ML's parents. After all the trauma she's experienced in her former life and as Edith, an apology meant a lot to her.
However, the ML's father can go take a running jump Not once was he fair and not once was he even rational in 99% of his judgements. Even without the author, he still seems....unnecessarily rigid.

The point isn’t he’s having sex with the MC as a child, the point is he’s conditioning him for the purpose of isolating him to become his sexual partner. Grooming doesn’t have to mean only an adult on child downward relationship (I.e Lolita). And sexual abuse in this study isn’t defined as it can be a gray area of severity. We do know the emperor lies about the need of holding hands within the palace, but also touches MC intimately (we see him with his hand intimately on the MC’s waist in one scene),and bites the MC cheek in front of his family. Of course this can be seen in jest and it’s meant to be for comedic effect. I completely understand this. But in context with the revealed exposition however we can infer the emperor has “miseducated” the MC from a young age, MC is ignrant of certain behaviors that others have voiced to him at this point are inappropriate. In reality we don’t know if the emperor has done things that MC thinks are normal but are again inappropriate given their age difference and the likely start of the Emperor’s romantic attention. The emperor’s goal is ultimately to become sexually intimate with the MC, which at 13 he already had set his sights on a 7 year old, what 13 to do you know of this age already has in their head plans of monopolizing a 7 year old so that they’ll grow to be their cherry picked partner of their own mechanizations? This isn’t healthy and no parent would rationalize accepting that kind of intense attention from a older child that is already pubescent. I know this is all meant to be a comedy but the tone of this plot is all over the place of rationalizing what is seriously an inappropriate situation for laughs.

- Kiel didn't isolate Asha though? As far as we know, Asha was not isolated as a child.
Even in the current time, Asha has his manservant with him (plus other servants, plus other people in the areas he's been demoted too). Kiel only sees Asha every six months. Asha as an adult can write letters to whoever he wants, including his own family. Asha is not isolated.
- You missed that Kiel's purpose is for Asha to be his spouse. That's why there's all this marriage tablet business...? Spousal relationships do include sex.

Kiel did not groom Asha. Grooming involves a specific intention on the abuser's end, with specific impacts on the victim. This situation does not fit grooming

Pretty sure she died around the time ML was born. He came early due to the high priestess setting a harsh trial that endangered their health. She was pregnant before they were approved to be wed, which is why Diraz has insisted consummation after marriage because that was his mistake. ML had to fight 2-3x as hard for what respect he now has because of the situation, hence why he is more than willing to comply.

I think the disabled people live near the borders, and cause of their disability they can't really fight so they are used as a human shield to distract the enemy until reinforcments arive

I feel disappointed in the author exactly for the same reason. The high priestess led ML's mom to death with the silent support of the king and the whole nation. But this murder was brushed off under the excuse that the high priestess's personal story with outsiders is soo tragic, that we must understand her. She even received an apology from the king, whose beloved she killed!! I am furious
