Its a demon FFS, it doesnt care about feelings, it doesnt care if it hurts you, it doesnt care if it rapes you and tears you apart, it doesnt care if it eats you - physically and spiritually. What is there to romanticise???
Its interesting. And no, the transfer student is likely not a masochist. The demon likely put him under some sort of hypnotic spell so he comes back everyday to be raped (although the demon calls it "love", its rape, by a demon. )
So that boy will eventually wither away to nothing - he will be a husk, unless he finds SOME way of escaping his fate with the demon.
I think you took this too literally... they’re not romanticizing the situation it has a more symbolic meaning (depending on the various ways the reader could interpret), i see it as the victim unable to escape from his rapist, mentally. Many stories of victims where this one incident haunts their whole life yk
This stayed on my to-read list for a long time, bcoz the synopsis sounded so trashy and cliche. Love motel? AV industry? Under-aged uke? But it ended being a hidden gem with appealing MCs in a heartfelt tale. Surprisingly despite the "risque" setting, this was almost shounen-ai in nature with one light sex scene. Which meant I could focus entirely on the plot, misunderstanding, outpouring of emotions and the hopeful tenacity that makes real love. 100/10 from me and a million re-reads in future.
Initially the cheating on Paul's part put me off, but the complex storyline, the believable New England setting and the WASP stereotype compelled me to delve in further. The realism that pervades the storyline makes you empathetic to the MCs - whose characters are layered, sordid and yet wonderful to try and decipher as you go along. I also love the art, how the MCs are not feminine like with big sparkly eyes or macho bara types, but just gorgeous MEN. 10/10 from me.

This was super-freakin hot with an attractive seme and uke. Initially they were experimental fark buddies of course, I liked how it also showed in later chapters how they had feelings for each other too.
