After the rape happened, I just skimmed thru the rest of the chapters bc it’s just one of those days where I really can’t just look the other way. Their relationship gets better after the rape, they have a lot of cute moments and they even have a few hot consensual sex. I just wish the rape didn’t happen but oh well I’m not the mangaka.
I am an avid lover of boring and cliché plots. I like boring stories bc fluffy stories or dark stories just make me want to cry but even for me, this was really kinda boring and at times a bit confusing to read. I stuck around till the end ‘coz I thought it would get better but it just fell flat for me. No shade just not my cup of tea.
I totes recommend this story if u want a chill and cute read. I reread it often myself. And I can’t help but think how lovable the MCs are with their cute insecurities.
I hate beautiful stories. They always make me cry. Makes me wish Sana were real. Makes me wish I had a Sana in my life. Kinda disappointed that the human-beast issue still wasn’t resolved at the end like this story had so much potential but at least there was a little progress and it was nice seeing other humans who seemed to support the beast people and I’ll take whatever I can get. Still really love this story.
I thought it would be kinda sad or involve rape bc in the synopsis it says the uke gets involved with the yakuza but for y’all who are scared like I was - it’s not sad and there’s no rape. Altho the seme was kinda forceful/aggressive at first with the bj but he stopped y’all he frickin stopped when the uke changed his mind like yaaaaasss!! Also, there are 2 short stories mixed in here and as long as you don’t get too invested in the shorts, you’ll be ok, it’s not that sad, it’ll just feel like reality hitting you smack dab across the face lol.
I know Shougo’s not deeply in love with Rei here yet but he did willingly act as a replacement for someone else (his dad of all people lmao). I’m really amazed at people who are ok with that. And it’s actually one of my fave tropes (the replacement thing not the dad thing lmao) tho it’s kinda sad right now. Still, I look forward to the day they realize they have mutual feelings for each other.
If author-san and I knew each other irl, we’d prbbly get along very well. Her sense of humor just resonates with me lmao and I like these types of “boring” adult love stories where they find it difficult to express how they feel. Bc irl, it’s extremely difficult to take that chance esp when you’re very good friends or you’re workmates bc if they don’t like you back, it could affect your work relationship or friendship. And the awkwardness of seeing that person every day or even seeing them fall in love with someone else right before your very eyes, man, I’ve been there and it’s hard. That’s why these types of stories really kinda hit home for me
Oh god it’s been a while since a manga has been able to make me feel this way. My heart was going crazy the whole time!! I know there’s a lot of miscommunication/misunderstanding going on but it was all so endearing to me. I find it adorbs how these 2 adults kept fumbling around unsure what to do with their feelings and every time they were alone together oh god you could feel the tension, you could slice it with a knife uwaaaa ~
