This isn’t your fluffy romance yaoi where the uke is a virgin and has sex with just one person. It’s not that type of webtoon. There are some dark elements like sexual coercion, manipulation, violence during sex, but the seme that I’m rooting for is actually a pretty decent guy who makes sure to get consent from the uke. It’s not clear yet if the story is going in the direction of a love triangle but there’s 2 semes chasing after the uke rn. We’ll just have to wait and see. Coz yaknow I was worried about all these before I started reading too. I stay away from dark/heavy/with rape webtoons but for me, this wasn’t too dark or heavy. Just watch out for those dark elements I mentioned if you’re sensitive to them. :)

Author-nim, you're breaking our hearts again.
If you’re sensitive to sad stories, there were some very real and quite sad elements to the stories here, this isn’t exactly a light read but it’s not heavy drama either and the MCs do get their happy ending-ish. The story doesn’t include their after uni life but based on the extras, they’re still getting along just fine DURING uni.
I usually don't go for political drama BL but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. The drama wasn't too heavy either and I couldn't help but root for uke-kun's happy ending halfway thru. I mean, they both deserved a happy ending and I'm happy that they got it :)))
IDC if it’s cliche or whatever but this was exactly what I was looking for after getting sucked into some darker-themed webtoons that I did not sign up for I was so happy with how light this was and I find it adorbs how the plot seems to keep getting pushed to the side to make way for a HELLUVA LOT of sex scenes which I am totes here for!!! I’m still at Chapter 85 but I don’t want to keep reading anymore bc I don’t want this to end! I really liked this lmao it’s the perfect chill read after an exhausting day at work.

I really want some new nice guy character to swoop in and steal the FL away and treat her right. FL deserves a guy that knows exactly what he wants and only has eyes for her. I know our current ML isn’t too bad YET compared to other smuts, he’s not cheating “yet” and their sex is always consensual. But he’s just so wishy-washy, he can’t be trusted not to cheat on her, like he’s just waiting for an opportunity to fall into his hands and pretend like he had no choice in the matter.
I love how Given deals with the raw emotions involved in messy break-ups, of losing someone you will always love, and being in a toxic relationship that you just can’t seem to quit. And how it doesn’t always work out with your “soulmate.” I’ve already listened to Given’s new songs but man I WANT TO HEAR YUKI’s SONGS SO BAD (and Hiiragi’s too)!!

As for Akihiko and Haruki - I feel like that molestation scene was so unnecessary bc Haruki just chose to forget about it right away which does not send a good message esp to young readers. Why even include that scene? And I so badly wanted Akihiko to work HARDER for Haruki’s love. I wanted him to chase after Haruki a little longer - man he had it so easy! I know he’s being so good to Haruki now but he really had it too easy!
I’m rooting for Hiiragi and Shizu SO FRIGGIN BAD. PLEASE GET TOGETHER LIKE RIGHT NOW!!! I hope the next few chapters will include even more scenes of these two - I love them!! Their relationship’s the least complicated here lmao
And we need to talk about Ugetsu too - I hope he finds a great boyfriend soon. I couldn’t really assimilate his struggle with Akihiko - like he felt trapped or something? But even so, I’m so proud of him for not running after Akihiko during that break-up scene. Mafu’s songs really have a way of hitting you right where you need it. I know he did Akihiko wrong but I can’t help but want him to find happiness too.
I think for the forced scene, he put that for Haruki to say the "I can give you everything" line. Like even though he didn't like it, but if Akihiko likes it then he would give it to him. That is how it is to me
So uhm if you're like me and you're sensitive to rape, forced prostitution, violent sex/rape, bleeding from rough sex, continuing to have sex even when the partner passed out then this may not be your type of webtoon coz it includes all of those. However, the feelings do become mutual and the uke is into rough sex that's why they have a lot of rough sex. I'm just putting this out there for people like me who are sensitive to this stuff bc I couldn't find much comments addressing this that's why I ended up having to read it for myself to see. I read until chapter 46 and I don't think I'll be continuing coz it's too dark and heavy for my taste. This triggered my depression a little bit but I'm just sensitive that's all. But that's okay bc we're all entitled to our own opinion and taste in webtoons. :)
