We’ll most likely get some closure with wren in the final chapter if he is dead. Him living on in some way, whether it’s through a physical or space sense. Either way, this whole scene is pretty surreal and magical. I like how the series is ending. Which is rare, most series lose steam towards the end with poor endings that leave me feeling empty. I don’t feel like that either AOT here even after all these years. It feels right.
I still don’t get the convoluted feelings in this plot lol. It’s that stupid and confusing.

Read the raws and it turns into an even bigger mess and bloody shows. Long story short she grows up to hate the fox, wants to kill him, tries to get back to normalcy by marrying another dude and falling for him. ( LOTS OF SEX in the following chapters, holy shit lol )That fails when he’s killed and she’s corrupted further by the fox, realizing she was always attached to him since she grew up with it.
Then queue further drama, flashbacks of the foxes past muses etc, more folk dying due to the fox drama, etc etc
TDLR; she can never die and just ends up with the fox in the end, given she’s long been corrupted by it. Thus their twisted love. ( apparently he does genuinely love her, and she’s different for him. ) The end.
