I also thought that there was a way to explore feelings and generate empathy without going there. There are so many possible plots out there.

One scene that you don't appreciate doesn't make it trash! That scene's not suppose to be entertaining, It's supposed to he painful! Rape happens in real life you know. Don't expect everything to go perfectly.
When you use rape in a smut comic it’s cheap and fucking dumb, don’t try to act like this series was supposed to be immensely deep from the get go. This isn’t any Beserk or Gantz. The author wanted to the focus of it to be smug why the fuck would you soil it all and turn off readers with horrid rape scenes. And sorry if I’m triggered but some of us are for a good fucking reason you know?
Amen. I hated that scene as well. The artist literally advertised this series as mainly smut with a mature side. I’m so damn tired of people suddenly trying to make the series something else and throwing in rape to just make it more mature and ‘deep’. Don’t they see the irony in that? Did they not expect it to turn off readers who were just expecting some complex porn? i mean when you set your characters into a plot where they eagerly just wanna fuck eachother 24/7 with eechi scenes every chapter, there’s a million other ways to better or deepen the plot of mature and dark content without rape.

Do you get what I’m saying? Real life? Lmaooo was this story imitating real life and so philosophically deep? No, ITS A DAMM EROTIC COMIC FIRST AND FOREMOST. You have to see the issue of throwing in rape when you advertise your series as a slightly mature erotic fantasy love story. It’s just gross. It did nothing for the plot overall.
Imo I prefer him ending up with the brunette. His baby brother is already dating a blonde that looks similar and so it’s refreshing if the older brother’s partner looks different. I also like their dynamic more. The blonde delivery guy does get his heart broken but he eventually moves on. ( boi gets a lover who tops him lol )
I’ve read plenty of comics where the girl is disguised as a guy but this is nothing like that. She’s a badass and owns her sex. Doesn’t look like it’ll have the cliche type of romance either.

true, but you shouldn't blame them, they are used to shotacon (that is pedo af too btw) and this particular manga is following the story by Sato's point, so we end up rooting for her just because the way the story is presented. But i agree with you, if Sato was a guy it would be shamed on the internet, and just because she is a cute girl it is overseen （￣へ￣）
I gotta agree with both of you. I was like 'What in the actual f*ck? ' throughout this whole manga! But I mostly came here to say that I was cheering on the brother!! After all that he went through, he deserves to be happy!!! I
know that this sounds messed up and everything, but I was also hoping for the brother and Sato to get together and raise the sister together!!!!! While they were fighting, I was mentally screaming 'Don't kill each other!!!!! Talk it out and then work together!!!!!!!', but that was mostly because I wanted the brother to be happy and have a family...
but she didnt kidnap her, she was taken willingly. this all would have gone better if she just said that they wanted to be together and explained it to everyone??

Mmm no. It wouldn’t have been better. It’s still sick that a 16 year-old girl wanted to groom and romantically get involved with a 5-year old (let me reiterate; 5 YEAR-OLD) girl. It was still a kidnapping. If it wasn’t a kidnapping, why didn’t Sato let Shio see her older brother? Soo yeah no it’s still messed up. To you it may not be messed up, but even in the manga the people in it (other than the aunt) still thought that it was weird and disgusting.
And the only reason why the aunt didn’t think that it was creepy and disgusting was because that she was a creepy nymphomaniac herself.
