Each chapter gives mixed signals tho. Considering they’re not family anymore since their parents are divorced it can be a new chance. It dragged so long that it could also be just a chance for Joowon to have his dream family and Haeso to move on. It’s all about tying loose ends although we don’t know how.

I suggest re reading it and seeing just how planned out it was that she was evil all along. Just because a characters back story hasn’t been revealed yet doesn’t mean that it hasn’t been well written so far.

I can def see where you’re coming from. But I think it’s too soon to rule out whether or not she will pan out to be a complex character or not. Personally, I think she is well written, but it’s fine if you don’t. Although I am curious about what villains in anime you consider well written.
