No. The King had 5 kids. That specific tribe with the illness had no ties to royalty. The king who killed soo wans dad, and soo wans dad were brothers. They must have been descendants from the crimson king from another one of his kids. One that didnt carry the illness.
Honestly, yonas dad has been painted as evil..but I am a bit suspicious. Soo wan has the suspiciously strong swords teacher.. and this last chapter soo wans dad met his mom. Zeno was around..what if soo wans dad met the mom on purpose for her bloodline. Would make soo wan a more legit heir. And would also change the image of an innocent and loyal soldier we have of soo wans dad. What if the dad was on his way to take the throne using his sons bloodline as reasoning to not only take control of the kingdom and sky tribe. But to take control of all 4 tribes and of the church using the blood line as justification.
And what if yonas dad, whether biological or not, was trying to protect the reincarnation. While soo wans dad was doing his own thing. Also. The backstory of the fighting dragons, who kept fighting wars, but once they got so far away from the castle their power weakened. Maybe that is a sign that the kingdom should not want lands beyond a certain point. Or they would be betrayed by the gods. Soo wan hates everything about the dragons..atleast about the red dragon. If the dragons dont follow him. He sees no point in them. They should follow the best Monarch. Not the Reincarnation. Idk when the dragon refused to fight and wanted to embarrass soo wan...look at his face before zeno grabbed his arm. That look was terrfying. Hopefully yona sees how dark and terrifying soo wan his. That she stops feeling guilty and pitying him. She should understand his pain, but not give up her destiny of helping people to "make up", for his hard life. Yona had just as hard of a time BECAUSE OF SOO WAN!! So hopefully she saves soo wan from himself. Because soo wan has super psychopath evil vibes going on.
Since they revealed that soo wans dad died suspiciously. They have tried to paint the king, yonas dad in a bad light. But that king was known as being anti war. Which doesnt make him seem like a pacifist..but makes him seem like he has other priorities. I think the king wanted to protect the Reincarnation.
I also think we shouldnt over sympathize with soo wans story and motives. He seems to want to completely remove power from both anything to do with the dragons, and from both the royal family and his red dragon bloodline. Which may make it look like he is selfless. But it seems to be the opposite.
He seems to have deep hatred towards the idea of destiny or divine power. And if he succeeds on making a new dynasty and putting a talented person on the throne. He will succeed with his revenge and also have a great legacy.
