And she isn’t even considering that? It just seems dumb, like a plot hole.

Probably coz killian specifically asked for charlotte and not just any imperial princess. He won the hunting competition and asked for Charlotte and promised to go to war and solve the problem if he is engaged to only her. Emperor agreed coz there's nothing for him to lose. Killian wants charlotte and emperor agrees that he's a better option than adlen, since emperor cherishes charlotte more, he wants her to be with the best man (tho he's completely wrong lol). Its infuriating coz a man gets to have his say on who he wants his bride to be but the woman can't, even though she has higher status than him. Its becoz she has notjing to offer other than to just be a pretty doll.

I would’ve agreed if not for the fact that archduke completely rejected her at first. That’s why she’s with the second best option, but there was no talk that emperor suggested his other daughter for him when Charlotte got rejected. Not only that, but the princess also pushed her dumb friend on him instead of trying herself. It makes no sense. Also, the emperor absolutely does NOT cherish Charlotte. Where did this even come from? He neglected from the start and started favoring her only when she became useful. He wants to use her, she’s a tool and that was made pretty clear. He doesn’t want the best man for her, he wants the best man for his own power. It’s obvious he couldn’t care less about her and only sees her as as much as he has to gain from her. So, I completely disagree.
Because in their empire there is a custom that a woman can't marry a man younger than her ... The 1st princess is older than Killian and Renius.. That's why she wasn't considered.. This was written in the novel

Okay, I have many thoughts here.
1. The emperor gotta go. Not only is he a deadbeat father, but also a greedy, power-hungry psycho. I don’t see how Cortinians, or however u spell that, are the villains at any point here. I really hope his conquest and atrocities committed by the army won’t be just brushed off. If she inherits the throne then I hope she puts an end to it.
2. Grand duke gotta go, do we even need to explain? Jeez not only is he insufferable, but he ain’t even very significant either. His character honestly makes no sense to me, it’s not very well-rounded.
3. I think I like John the most as a character so far, he seems the most rounded and deep, also has a very interesting chemistry with the FL and is clearly pretty useful and resourceful. I wonder if he has a hidden identity with his trade secrets.
4. Okay… now the ML. Hear me out, I DO like him, okay? But I just think he’s a bit… bland? Like his whole character is just rich, hot and jealous/possessive. He has no depth and for such a powerful man he hasn’t really been useful to the FL much. He hasn’t been of any help when it comes to strengthening her position, she did that all by herself. He’s pretty stuck up btw, with how he clearly looks down on many people, especially commoners and their environment. He’s rather ignorant, wasn’t shown as super intelligent either. I don’t even get why it took them so long to investigate that assassination case? Especially the Fl seemed way too unbothered about it. His PTSD valid, he hasn’t been much of help when it comes to defense either, but that’s an interesting character trait. Just nothing else really made up for it. I wish his relationship with his sister was more explored too.
Overall, I do like the story, but I think characters are pretty superficial, they don’t have much depth. I wish they were more rounded, especially ML. He’s just cliche, but doesn’t really stand out ability wise.
Just to add my last 2 cents, what Kai is doing is very much like sex trafficking. Sell your body for me to pay off your/your family’s debt? Seems familiar?

Yeah. I like main couple too and it’s nice that they are finally together but tbh I was never that attached to this story. Like neither art style or plot captivated me to the point that I feel the need to continue regardless of what happened in this chapter

yeah the empress does i think, thats why she wants to open the hell gate, so the demon can come out in its true form (like the hamster, which i think the trying to open the gate was the reason the hamster got its true form)
