As usual, I came to the comment section to like some thoughts I agree with and come to see some anonymous ppl wreaking havoc with their opinion.
With all due respect, are we reading the same thing? This manga is hardly black & white, & you have to read between the lines because everyone's personality is complex. And like what many others have said, the sex scene between Doumeki & Yashiro back then was poignant because it is what made Yashiro realize his facade. Don't take everything at face value, analyze why their actions are like that. Just because Doumeki is being outspoken right now doesn't mean he is disrespecting Yashiro for the heck of it. Man, this is not Cinderella Disney version where there are textbook villains & protagonists.

It simply boils down to their unpreparedness for a child when they were still children themselves, on top of some family members loss. They are both at fault here, but now their backstories are told, we understand how things went to shit, but ofc we don't condone the child neglect. They are all victims as well and really, pointing fingers who did worse is not what they need because 15 years has already passed. We can just hope that this second time around, they can mend their relationship. Poor Vincent needs to feel he is loved & wanted.

The FL is unintentionally being a tool of the cursed btch ugly mother to hurt Nocton, so I'm quite suprised Nocton doesn't harbor any ill will towards Duroa. I just know that if it was me, (because tbh I am petty & emotional), I would probably hate her a little. Her character reminds me of someone in another webtoon.
That said, I am still horrified of how abusive the household is towards Nocton. It's understandable why he turned out like that. He literally has no example nor experience of any kind of love. Even Duroa went up to him with a hidden agenda.

If you're from reading other works like The Remarried Empress, reading this novel right after is such a soothing thing to calm the soul. I have read (tho incomplete) The Remarried Empress' novel before it was made to manhwa and gahhh there weren't a chapter where I'm not stressed. It's good but it makes me sooo frustrated, and THIS exactly, this manhwa is the medicine. The feeling where everything is falling into place that the MCs experience gives sooooo much satisfaction to us readers. I am so in love with Aria ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
I mean 5 years isn't really much if we're talking about age gaps, but what bothers me is that the sleeping in the same bed thing, the occasional weird touches, & King's declaration that he doesn't wanna share Nina with his bro - these all happened when one is still a minor and one is already an adult. I know Nina's mental age is older but nobody knows that but us the readers.
It's quite uncomfortable to think about, but no hate tho. It's fiction & the setting is back in the days, I understand that.
I still prefer Alex tho lol
P.S. to the the minors, if an adult pursues you, run for the hills. Don't use this piece of fiction as a manual of your potential happily ever after. You're not "mature" for your age, they're just creeps.
