This was soooo cute and the fact that the author drew Shuu for three years, so freaking perfect. I loved loved him slowly growing up, he really did mature. This is just so perfect. Urgh. Made me smile like a lunatic. What a gem.
Absolute perfection. I love this to my very core. I don’t think Gil/Will was ever supposed to be a mystery. It was very obvious. It was more of an exploration of Lance and Gils pain and suffering, their diverging paths and the process of revenge. The very foundation of the story is executed so so well there never needed to be a whodunit.
The clue to the missing persons case is hidden behind a child who is both beautiful and sinister....

Wow, this is sooo brilliant. It’s the perfect juncture of amazing interesting art, plot, characters, horror and religion. It does everything it sets out to do perfectly. The dialogue and language is so incredible. There so much atmosphere and life teeming in its pages. A truly talented writer and artist. What a gem.
Really enjoyed this until the last few chapters. It felt unsatisfying to go back and just change everything, the MC even gets to relive his life. It felt so…. Spiceless and poorly realized and thought out. The time travel plot is was used so liberally at the end there, a deus ex machina that felt so unsatisfying.

The dialogue and banter here is so brilliant. Blistered by excellent characters, pacing and plot, it’s extremely well done and enjoyable. Found that it seemed to move scenes quite abruptly at times but I thought it was charming. The pacing is excellent too.

Summary read like a typical high school setting but it’s done better than practically 99% of other BLs. It had interesting dynamics, super likable characters and a really wonderful romance. It did a lot of things unique and unexpected and hit me in all the right ways.

Why is this perfect in so many unexpected ways? On paper, I’ve read a billion stories exactly with this plot but the execution is so wonderful. I love the role reversal with Sano being the top. It’s just so perfect. The cool aloof senior wanting to be wanted. It hit in all the right ways.
Why? I don’t get it the ML is so fucking horrible. I read 30 chapters of this and I’m just done with it. And yes, MC you are pathetic and I’m so sorry you have to deal with the ML. I truly am baffled as to why I even read so far into this when it gave me zero joy and every interaction had me horrified
I’m shocked the author wrote approximal Guide and honestly worried how that one will work out because this one is sooo not my thing.
Even if the ML grovels it won’t ever be enough and what truly ticks me off is that the MC still loves him. From chapter 1 onwards it’s painful to read how he wants everything for the ML. Ides of March has an even worse ML but is way more readable because the MC actually does not like him or secretly hate himself for liking the ML.
