Jing is 29, Zuosen is 22. Jing is working in Zuosen's family since he was 18
the mc and ml both seem to fear being alone/were left alone by loved ones in their lifetime and it has manifested different for them. i hope they can take a moment to seriously discuss where they stand since a lot of lines are being blurred. they both appear to have feelings for each other at different levels
i do appreciate that the ml understands that at the very least, he’s probably not straight lol. in lots of other bls esp before, the characters would be like “im not gay i just like u, mc” like uh ok
imagine being so unhinged, in love and dying to possess the object of your affections that in the process, you destroy everything…only to be met with sympathy? not unlike that of the sympathy one feels when they see a child crying and throwing a tantrum? all alongside anger and disgust? all of these grand gestures won’t ever matter to the mc because the intention of the ml is love that has been twisted to be ownership and control. i know they’ll end up together in the end but its quite powerful to think about.
i really like this story! the mc doesn’t give me helpless vibes. he’s very much “leave me out of the drama” despite living in a whirlwind and i can respect that lol
