I keep having to stop reading mangas because the uke is always like..."Anyone would do"..."It's none of your business"...even if they are best friends. They let other semes beat them to run away from feelings towards a straight guy...I don't like loose ukes or ukes that allow beatings and makes excuses for them. ( ̄へ ̄)

I sorta wanted for the sister to get with her brother Yone. It happens between brothers in yaoi so ... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭...I didn't like him ending up with Ao.
( ̄へ ̄)...As for Taka and Touma, I was happy. Suffering and all because the results made it all worth it! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Why Would you prefer he be with his sister over Ao? Ao is sexy as hell

Because she wasn't selfish or a pain and helped the uke through their similar pain/struggles. Ao's character just didn't fit the bill to me, sexy and all. Just because it is yaoi and she's female doesn't mean she can't get her happiness. She truly loves her brother and even though it's a "taboo" relationship, it is used often in yaoi within brothers and if it's acceptable there, why not with her. Normally I don't like the way they portray females in yaoi, But I liked her. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

incest between sibling is wrong in yaoi it's a little different since they won't have kids but still a lil' gross for me but between bro and sis they can have a kid and there's a 50/50 chance the kid will be deformed so.............better not. and i don't know how this girl can fall in love with her brother. i fight with mine everyday. i love but not that deeply and hate him at the same time.

Prejudices are prejudices, and people face similar stigmas. I am not trying to insult anyone. Just because you don't like, condone, or feel the same way about on thing doesn't mean it has any less significance to others. I am not quick to judge people. Life has taught me many lessons...And I will leave it at that.

Yeah, me too! (▰˘◡˘▰)...Trust me I wouldn't jump at my sister even if they paid me.
(⊙…⊙ ) We don't even talk much Lol And I am attracted to females so it's not about gender. lol I definitely wouldn't go anywhere near my father (Cringes and wants to puke)...I just think fiction and yaoi makes us step over boundaries in our minds or makes us break free of our restraints cause it's fiction. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Nothing too deep just to enjoy those smexy Semes and ukes! ;)

Not at all. The problem is not with you or anyone that enjoys some or all of the myriad sexual kinks that Yaoi has to offer, the problem lies in people like ravenc that are not mature enough and/or sophisticated enough to differentiate between fiction and real life, or to even understand what and/for fiction is, not to mention how insulting it is to other readers. And it is truly exasperating to see people having to the defend themselves from these type of morally pretentious ignoramuses. It is absurd to strictly apply morality to fiction tropes, but most especially to tropes in romance genres like Yaoi that cater to different adult (female) sexual fantasies. Fantasy is fantasy, real life is real life. Even though fiction can and does extrapolate from real life issues (even in Yaoi), it is understood that the sexual kinks (taboos) are not prescriptive, their only purpose is to feed our sexual fantasies and nothing else. That type of kink-shaming is extremely derogatory to all the readers that enjoy these tropes and shouldn't be encouraged in our yaoi community.

Ooooh thoroughly impressed and it feels pretty good to have someone comprehend what I was saying. People shouldn't come here to find moral compasses. That would be barking up the wrong tree, in my opinion anyway. This should be a safe haven to explore "forbidden" places or fantasies in our minds, to shed inhibitions...So eloquently said Kyouran. (▰˘◡˘▰)

LGBT slogan is "Love Wins", right? Am I wrong? If brother and sister love each other, then they can't be together because that's just wrong?
And hey, you said the thing that many people said to gay couples 20-30 years ago.
In the past, people used to say things you said, right? Gay couples are wrong in many levels, they can't have kids, etc.
I guess love isn't always win, huh?
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Thank you so very much! (▰˘◡˘▰) I like you too because I read your other comment and I agree completely! That is what I wanted to say too. (●'◡'●)ノ ...I am in no way trying to take away from LGBT struggles and how far they have come But just like you said, narrow minded people use to and still do think that being part of LGBT is wrong and immoral. =/ I am a huge fan of Yaoi But for this particular story I wanted Yone to reciprocate the sis's feelings. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I liked her character...

...so it's okay that the uke was projecting and using the baker for his own selfish reasons, but the baker doing the same is a problem? (︶︿︶)=凸 Lol What's good for the goose is good for the gander, plus we don't know what the deal is. Everyone is throwing stones w/o knowing his side of the story...Besides the sister can't know what his brother is actually feeling over the uke.

Uke was using the baker as a means to get over a past love/trauma. The baker was using uke as a replacement for his past love/trauma. Those are as different as night and day.
Uke was looking at the baker, but the baker was only seeing his past love, not the uke himself.
I can't imagine being in a relationship with someone who wasn't really looking at me.

Dating someone to get over another is a pretty shitty reason to start dating someone but at least the uke is dating HIM. The Baker isn't really dating the uke, he's only with him cause he looks like his past love. That's why he was so upset about the haircut.
Now I'm not saying that the uke isn't being shitty too, I'm just saying that what the baker is doing is way worse.
I don't like the uke at all...he is one of the worst ukes everrrrr! Couldn't finish it!...I want a Seme like Yata. Screw me silly and make t hust so that I can't even walk. ლ(´ڡ`ლ) Momo rather have cheap sex and get beat I guess?
I meant make it hurt*
well it's your view ... but what didn't u like about Momo?
u can least compassionate with him
Everything. His blaze attitude, his nonchalant attitude of being a whore. Didn't take anything seriously. Knowing that guy can't be trusted and still went to drink with him and wouldn't let Yata beat him senseless for it... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
You're entitled to your own opinion, but I suggest you read the entire story before judging Momo.
He's a beautifully flawed overwhelmingly strong character who grows yet stays true to himself. This story is way deeper emotionally than your initial assessment. Once you peel back the layers I guarantee you will shed tears and feel super protective of Momo like a mama lioness.
This is more than just sex. Try to let go of basing your opinion on superficial outward appearances and finish it. Yata also grows thanks to his involvement with Momo.
Remember, this is Harada. Be prepared to be uncomfortable but the payoff is worth it!
To*
The reason I liked this story was for Momo. how he went through everything he went through and became the person he was at the end. He stood up and took a stand. that's why I liked it.
Many people have been through a lot of shit and dark things in this world, myself included. Still going through some things...But I don't give in. I fought and fight. A lot do to and don't become something equal or worse than those that wrong you...I know it's not real life but a yaoi manga thus I have a right not to like certain characters. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
To Anon, I didn't mean to delete your comment. Not sure how this site works...Anyway as you are entitled to your opinion, I am mine. And I did stop reading it.╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭...There's no love lost here. The writer isn't getting a dime from me anyway so I doubt Harada will give a fuck...Lol
The problem is Momo's character and because it's a main, I just can't keep going. I will however give it a second thought thanks to you respectful approach. This world needs more people like you! (●'◡'●) I do see that it's deeper in meaning...
Bet you didn't continue reading it??...me personally, what I hate the most when it comes to yaoi stories are the slut ukes ...but,BUT..I may recommend you to continue reading this, and I SWEAR!!(*well,I'm not so sure).. that maybe you will change thoughts about this...Me first,I was like *ughh!
You know something. This attitude in this site to force others to have the same opinion as the majority is truly disgusting. Obviously at WickedLilith don't like ukes like Momo. Why do you have to force her to like them, thumb her down or tell her to continue reading the manga since it doesn't make her comfortable or plain simple isn't in her tastes? Learn to accept that people have different preferences than you and that doesn't make them bad or wrong.
Yeah, slut ukes gives me cringy feelings...And believe me I've read mangas with some slut juice to them but they have something that keeps me going. Momo lacks...he's an airhead that lacks depth plus a slut. If that makes any sense. I am giving it a second honest thought because I tend to have an open mind. I mean I don't judge incestuous relationships. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭...Thanks for being respectful...I also notice that most readers in my case tend to be on the ukes's side, I am guilty of being on the seme's side. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Thank you so very much for being a mature spirit! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ...I agree, But as long as people give their opinion w/o being disrespectful I will listen with an open mind. I don't mind going back and forth discussing our "winning" arguments. Lol...Mangas, fiction, stories, books, especially characters etc, make us all passionate. At least this time I wasn't told for my parent to go die from a horrible disease or for myself to die. xD...Thank you once again!
I agree with not pushing what they prefer to others ofcourse she can like and dislike what she wants to .but people have evry right to thumbs down if they didn't agree with the other party .that doesn't make them disgusting and suggesting someone to continue to read it without abusing anyone what is wrong with that.i respect her thoughts she dont like momo well its her preference .and i won't say anything to that .but above i dont think anyone in the he comments have abused her or said anything bad they just asked her to watch and continue reading it and after that its her choice what she want to do this is a comment section if you post something you will get review on it if people dont agree with you they will thumb you down .no body said she is bad or wrong here and you learn to accept if if somebody don't agree woth you they have right to thumbs down and comment as long as they are doing it in a polite manner.
And this comment is totally not meant for you .i respect if you dont like momo.and i dont like if any one abuse other person because he prefer different thing.my comment was only fir the other anon.because in your comment i guess no one abuse you or dwas disrespectful towards you and suggesting something to someone i am sorry but i dont find it disgusting. and if people.dont like your comment people will thumb down it .because they dont agree .not because you are a bad person or you are wrong because theyndont agree with what you said and isn't it okay? As long as they are not disrespectful.
Ammm....hey, I think it's a misunderstanding..cause just now , I read my comment again if there's something wrong to it...cause your comment kick my heart a little bit but it's ok
I PROMISE, I SWEAR, THAT I EDITED MY COMMENT BEFORE YOU GUYS GIVE IT A GO..I edited "you should give it a chance,it's ok if you don't like it!,just endure the uke for a bit! Hehe!"...that's ACTUALLY my edited comment in the end ...SORRY ...it's my mistake or my internet or this website!..but mainly ..IT'S ME! SORRY!
Actually, Momo's character is quite close to reality: children who have been treated like shit from birth, (which is not the same as "having been trough some shit") have such low self esteem they see it as normal to be despised and disrespected. I know several Momo's. Plus, you shouldn't compare yourself to a character in a story: you're not him... whatever "shit" you've been trough.
My reality, your reality, a character's reality, all can differ. Doesn't make anyone of them less "real". I stick by what I said. People can like a character because they resemble or because they don't resemble ourselves. I don't like his character, period. I have known people from all walks of life because of where I grew up. I am not going to give explicit details though and I have seen people like Momo up close too. Momo's character is very real But we have choices. Some give in, some don't. It is healthy to compare yourself to a character. It's normal actually. Just like people compare themselves to actors, singers, performers, politicians etc. I never said Momo isn't close to real. I just don't like him. "children who have been treated like shit from birth, (which is not the same as "having been trough some shit") have such low self esteem they see it as normal to be despised and disrespected". I don't doubt they suffer a lot. Guess what, there are a lot of factors that can make you have zero self esteem and question what's considered "normal". We aren't psychoanalyzing here to determine who suffers more or who gets more validation. You don't know what I've been through therefore you can't make light of it. You're coming of as condescending. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
You shouldn't make that conclusion, it is not my intent. I may sound like a professor lecturing about something, but it's never meant as "condescending". Maybe you're over sensitive?
the fact that you dislike Momo is maybe because you feel related to him, and think he should behave differently, since you've been able to do that. That's possible. But not everybody is strong enough.
If you follow the story all the way to the end, you find out he actually evolves into a normal young man, instead of this miserable little human doormat from the beginning; it's Yata's love for him which makes him grow into an adult, instead of the "pet" he considers himself to start with. Since it's a love story, the mangaka uses love as the means to make that happen. It could have be done in an other way, had it been an other genre of story.
Anyway, it's amazing that you have outgrown your problems and now have become a strong human being! I am very happy for you. Well done!
But not everyone manages, and whoever isn't strong enough, shouldn't be condemned for it. If this was a real situation, instead of a manga, it would be unfair to condemn Momo for being what others turned him into. It wouldn't be his fault, but others's. Right?
He's not stupid or weak, he's just kind of mentally"crushed" from early childhood, and has never known anything else but despise, until he runs into Yata. That's what the story is all about, I expect.
"That was well said".
"That was well said".ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
Thank you. I'm glad you don't misunderstand me. I'm always explaining things, but that doesn't mean I think I'm smarter or wiser. I'm a mangaka myself, so I know a bit of the job.
Anyway, keep making a great life for yourself, I'm here applauding ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
This comment cleared up the fuzzy feeling I got from reading the other comments.
I only read through Vol.1 and didn't really enjoy reading it, but I still got the impression that Momo became that way to unconsciously protect himself from reality that hurt him too much. It's sad and disturbing to see him that way, but I still feel like I want to give him a hug and give him lots of love. I wonder if I should force myself through Vol2 or not.
You are thinking exactly like the Yata-character in the manga. Give him lots of love is what he does, and in the end, it's working. Somebody who's never been respected nor loved tends to think there's no such thing for him: that the disrespect and abuse he's getting is actually all he's worth. How's he to know anything else? So, in the beginning, he accepts what he thinks is normal. In the end, he knows what it is to be treated like a real human being; he finds out when he realizes that's what Yata's giving him. It takes him a while to understand it, since it's the very first time he experiences it.
That's what the mangaka's point, I suppose. I would have done it in a more dynamic way, I guess: but the character of Momo is quite real, I swear. In every big town there are kids like that, growing up without the smallest bit of respect, prostituting themselves or begging, 'cause that's the only way they know how to survive. It takes a lot of selfrespect-boosting to make such a poor thing start feeling like a real human, with rights and value. I guess in Japan, in spite of the good status of children, it must happen too. Or else the mangaka has taken the example of a kid somewhere in Thailand, Birma, Africa or anywhere else where kids are left to fence for themselves like little stray puppies, with nobody caring for them wheter they live or die... Anyway, being a sentimental Japanese mangaka, she's turned it into a yaoi love story and gave it the "Love conquers all"- theme.
